"YEEHAA! Scratch on boogie!"

*Hewitt watches as the doomed VTOL spirals out of control and crash violently into the forest below.

Then several bright red flashes bring him back to the situation at hand.*

"Whoa, looks like some peeps aren't happy."

*The Eagle fighter jinks left and right in an attempt to dodge enemy fire as Hewitt pulls back on the stick to gain some altitude. Shooting almost straight up into the air Hewitt who is currently enjoying the ride immensely throws the stick hard right, putting the swiftly climbing fighter in a barrel roll all the while laser fire is still streaking by.*

"Oh man I just have to get me one of these... heh."

*Confident he is now out of enemy range, Hewitt cuts his climbing roll and puts the fighter into a low cut sweeping turn. Scanning his radar screen for new targets Hewitt discoveres the ground forces appear to be doing rather well since he swore when he looked at the thing before there were considerably more red dots.

Go with want you got I suppose...

*Pushing hard on the stick, Hewitt sends his fighter into a tight diving turn and makes for the forest below. Leveling out some distance from the ground forces battling it out below Hewitt straighens out his craft and locks onto the first target his scanners can get a hold of. A battlesuit of some kind but difficult to make out exactly from the weak signature.*

"Charlie ground forces this is Tango Alpha commensing attack run. Stand clear. "

*His missile group in chain mode, Hewitt let's loose his first missile.*

"It's away!"

*Switching to the next target - another battlesuit - Hewitt let's loose another heatseeker and another this time at a tank. Suddenly he is very close to the explosions going off under him and in a spilt second it takes to realise this, Hewitt has switched to his GG's and the 20mm and is straifing the ground where his first target was a few seconds ago - fully blind. Hewitt keeps at it for a good ten seconds, watching several trees ignite or torn to pieces under his constant fire.

Hopefully a few of the enemy has met a similar fate...

*Having now completed his run, Hewitt brings to pull away from the trees, turning slightly to circle around for another attack.*

ooc-lol i started that post at noonish, went off to do something and didnt get back to it untill a few hours later, & btw stop bickering! -ooc

turns around as the sounds of battle fill his helmet
woops!

targets one of the nearby tanks (1 thats targeting bakan) and runs towards it dodging and weaving between trees for cover, he bursts from an extra large shrub and jumps on the tank he then fires his jumpjets and puts a pc shot into the fuel tanks and the front of the turret, assuming that the tank is effectively dissabled or distroyed mc turns in mid-air to the tank firing upon him, he switches the jjs to foreward and dives at it, just before impact he flips around so he is heading feet first towards the tank and lands on the front end, causing the tank to litteraly flip over, mc dives to the side just before being pinned under the falling chassis

whew, a little close for comfort

fires his pc into the treads and stomps on the portruding barrel, he turns on the last tank and fires several pc shots at its treads and turret

*having already destryed one of the tanks, Ceaser decided to have some fun with the remaining tanks... but first he launched yet more SRMs into the cybird battlesuits,

"Time for a little fun..."said Ceaser, remembering how Bakan decimated a tank earlier he activated his jumpjets....

*and after they emptied, Ceaser tried to come down on a tank... and missed, there was now a well armed tank behind him and probably already aiming at his back armour.... realising how bad the situation could get, Ceaser began to turn his battlesuit round and prepared his gatling laser cannons to fire....

*Runing through the combat zone, Bakan watches as several warning indicators activate, letting him know he was being targetted by many hostiles. Banking and turning in his battlesuit, , Bakan suddenly sees one of the tanks that is targetting him right in front of him. Hitting his left thruster, Bakan suddenly is launchd towards the side as he raises his pulse gatling laser cannon and fires point blank into the tank. Landing to the side, Bakan sees along one of those battlesuits also heading towards him, and launches two missiles at it, then starts charging it with his short sword extended, intending to impale that battlesuit.*

ooc: Maybe you should try the 'Star Wars' approach... i.e keep hitting the damn thing until the shields fail Other than that, there must be some kind of power source somewhere you can turn into a nice big crater......

ooc/ not a lot of time atm, so no DMing right, but i will tell you fluffie that these shields are strong, so strong that you can't penetrate them with your weapons. You'd either need orbital bombardment (a rather unstealth maneuver) or have someone sneak under the shields like the AT-ATs do in star wars (episode V). In fact, there a lot of friendly currenly fighting enemies outside of the shield, try helping them /ooc

Static on the ground forces' their radios, followed by the voice of a man preparing for a bombing run. Lots of computery beeps in the background as his targetting computers do their thang!

"Make way. Duck, cover and cower."

Fluffie's bomber makes a pass over the biggest concentration of foes, releasing some Hammers and shredding some units with his Auto-Cannons. Nothing fancy, just flying fast and a bit lower than before. After his run, he pulls up again and begins circling, waiting for more targets! Such as a bloody base

ooc/ sorry for the delay, but i've been very busy. My next DM will be either monday or Tuesday, I won't be able to DM on wednesday or thursday due to being in Eurodisney, Paris /ooc

Hewitt: Your missiles sweep down towards the battlesuit, which deftly jumps out of the way with its Jump jets and continues to shoot at Bakan, your GG and 20mm cannon run is slightly more succefull as you see the Battlesuit jumping up to shoot at you, it's left arm missing and several large holes in the center of the suit clearly indicating it has been heavily damaged.

MC: Your first target explodes violently as it attempts to fire its ravaged turrets, unfortunately it exploded just as you jumped away and the explosion damaged your armor and sent you slightly off course. Your then following collision with the 'brid tank throws it up as it fires a shot directly into your front, red lights flashing all over as you turn around and fire into the tank as it fires at you again, the exchange of fire is over quickly tough as it clear you carry the superior amount of firepower, but several red lights indicate you have been damaged in several areas.

ASME: Fortunately the tank doesn't take notice of you and continues firing towards bakan, tough you do only barely manage to evade getting hit by its tracks, behind you the enemy battlesuit continues firing towards you with its remaining tachyon weapon, a hit to your side bursting open your armor and exposing the fragile electronics within. At that moment Bakan's battlesuit jumps right over your suit and the sound of breaking metal combined with pulse laser fire assures you it is no longer a threat now.

Bakan: as you jump, a shot from the tank scrapes your side, burning away some of the armor, its turret immediatly turning around to track you and try to shoot you, but as it fires again you're already to close. Your pulse laser gatling fire then rips away the side of the tank and leaves it burning and disabled. The battlesuit quickly exchanges fire with you, 2 tachyon weapon hits smashing into your central torso and quickly ripping away parts of the armor just before you collide with jaw-dropping speed, fortunately for you, the enemy battlesuit comes to a complete stop on your short sword as it cuts cleanly into and through the battlesuit's torso, sparks coming from within the damaged unit.

Fluffie: Your target was 1 of the enemy AAA batteries and tough you don't manage to actaully hit anything with your autocannons, both of your Hammers managed to land amidst the enemy vehicles and as you come around you notice 6 vehicles have been reduced a burning heap of metal and various other materials, more AAA fire ensues for below, fortunately it is not nearly accurate to pose a threat at this time.

[ooc] Well I was gonna aplogize about my lack of being here, but it looks like most of my away time was taken up with a RPer vs DM conflict, so no bother. [/ooc]

*Varis counted the seconds as his pod rushed to contact. They passed by far far too slow, but soon enough he slammed into the ground and the pod opened. He step out just in time to see a bomber make a run on his target. He was glad they had better air support then the last mission. He hopped out of his pod and gingerly made his way to the cybrid base, dodging from tree to tree. He soon came to the base to see his comrades already in battle. Just before he made his charge though, he saw a cluster of collasped trees move for a moment. He inched his way closer, trying not to attract the attention of the combatants, and saw that the thing causing the movment uner the trees was a cybrid battlesuit. He let a smile come to his face as he removed one of his demo charges and shoved it under the trapped cybrid. He set the time to a minute and headed into the base. He saw, a damaged battlesuit, missing it's left arm, and with heavy torse damage, targeting one of the human battlesuits. Varis figured he could take it out so he close the gap between him and the suit, and then twisted his torso to the side and ran up to the cybrid from it's damaged left angle. Varis raised his machine gun and pointed it at the general area of the socket hole where the arm use to be and fired into it, letting the bullets rip into the internal workings of the suit. Varis then fired his jets up, and back, to get him outta the way of any attacks from other angles. While he was doing that he heard a explosion and saw large chunks of wood, fly past him in the air.*

"Well I'm here boys, How can I help. Not like I already haven't mind you."

well for starts you can get in the base and blow the shield generator, glad your here

mc targets the battle suit with the peice of metal sticking from its chest and fires at it through the trees, then runs to a tree and shoots at the suits hips, hoping to knock its torso off the legs, he then runs to a destroyed tank and procedes to bend the main gun off the turret, after about half a minute the peice of metal comes free, mc puts it against the chassis and kicks one end to make ti relatively sharp, he hefts his new weapon and runs towards one of the remaining suits from behind, while it is busy with asme mc runs up behind it and jabs the peice of metal into its back then shoves it over onto its front, he stomps on its head and then fires the pc into it twice while jumpjetting away

ooc/ mad cat, may i kindly suggest you don't shoot at the battlesuit with he metal object. because said metal object is in fact Bakan's short sword sticking through the thing and if you shoot at it, you might hit (and certainly anger) him, so please at the very least change that. May i also note your tank turret spear will be relatively ineffective due to bending issues /ooc

*With his sword nicely imapled into the battlesuit, Bakan watches as the enemy suit tries to pull itself away, but only dragging Bakan. The other pilot got the smart idea to block Bakan's other arm from rising up by blocking it with it's own arm. As Bakan struggled, he saw he was being targetted, BY A FRIENDLY!!!!*

"SHIT!!!!!"

*Spinning, Bakan turns both battlesuits, just in time for the enemy one to be struck by several weapons. The impacts must have caused some damage, for Bakan is now able to raise his arm with the pulse gatling laser cannon towards the enemy Battlesuit's head.*

"Hasta La Vista."

*Bakan then squeezes the trigger, firing several shots point-blank into the battlesuits head and upper chest.*

ooc: Erm, flapjack? I actually was targeting multiple targets...

*Cruising around at superior speeds through the sky when there is no air cover at all gives Hewitt a huge advantage. Using the current luxury of relative safety, Hewitt keeps his turn smooth and takes a little time to play with the sensor screen.*

"Let's get a closer look shall we..."

*Hitting a few buttons on the control panel, Hewitt zooms in the radar to get a better idea of the battle... only to find this isn't really that much better.*

"Crud."

*It is then that Hewitt notices something interesting. Not far from the three red dots mixing it up with the green, he catches a faint red signature.*

"Wait a minute..."

*Hewitt switches through targets... and sure enough the details of this faint point coming up on the HUD. Another cybrid battlesuit and judging by the orientation one that was stuck on the ground. However, it was definately busy doing something - moving in sudden jerks as if trying to shake something loose...*

"Probably lost an arguement with a tree or something...

HEH."

*Hewitt breaks sharply from the lazy turn and lines up with this new target.*

"Charlie ground forces this is Tango Alpha. Detecting faint enemy signature not far from your position. Preparing to engage over."

*Hewitt arms all his missiles.*

"Here goes..."

*Like a hawk that's just spotted a nice fat juicy rabbit, Hewitt's fighter swoops to a position just above the treetops, locks onto the struggling battlesuit (the one digging itself from under several trees) and lets loose with a trio of crossbow missiles.*

"It's away!"

*As the three heatseekers trail off towards there prey Hewitt switches targets to the critcally damaged suit he straifed eariler. Doing a funky roll with a hard right turn and a half-twist, Hewitt just manages to throw the Eagle around to bring his wounded prey into his sights. The aerial manover puts Hewitt into a steep dive...

...only a few hundred feet from the ground.

Cutting the throttle drastically, Hewitt pulls back hard on the stick as well as the trigger. Energy and projectile fire tear into the trees below staifing the wounded suit. At the same time Hewitt is bleeding speed like no tomorrow, literally dragging the nose of the aircraft upwards in an tremedous effort not to end up as a firey explosion.

Hewitt is sweating now. He can make out the different species of vegetation.

"Come on... come on..."

*Birds and little furry animals are now fleeing the immediate area.*

"Oh crrraaaaaaaaap..."

WHOOSH!

ooc/ Wo2, which Battlesuit where you targetting with you Machinegun, seeing as how the only battlesuit with a missing arm and heavy torso damage is targetting an aircraft and is currently flying above the trees untill its jumpjets run out /ooc

Wo2: Mixed among the various pieces of wood currently flying you at high speed, you also notice several parts that look distinctly unnatural, your correct conclusion is that the enemy battlesuit didn't manage to get away from your little surprise.

MC: You manage to hit the Battlesuit Bakan was fighting several times, smoke bursts out from its right arm as the fragile movement systems break under the stress of trying to stop a stronger battlesuit (Bakan's) from moving its arm. Your new weapon however is of little effect as it doesn't manage to penetrate the apparently quite strong armor of the enemy battlesuit. Your attempt to stomp its head fails as it turns away suddenly to try and shoot you, a shot from its Tachyon weapon bursting into your right leg as you return fire with the PC and knock it off its feet, as well as removing its right arm as well.

Bakan: As smoke pours from the right arm motory system, you can suddenly move your arm, you quickly point it at the battlesuit's head and a short salvo from your Pulse laser gatling cannon removes said part from the battlesuit, which promptly falls limp. You quickly remove the suit from your sword and notice you haven't sustainesd any major damages.

Hewitt: As your missiles streak towards their target you notice a massive explosion, flame immediatly engulfing your craft but not damaging it. Clearly your shots came a little late as someone else already finished that battlesuit. However as you once more open up on the previously damaged battlesuit it fires as well, Tachyon bursts slamming into your shield, before your weapons fire manages to breach the suit's reactor and turn it into a ball of flame momentarily.

"Well, we sure showed them... what now people? Where do we go now?...." Ceaser said into the comms

ASME/Bakan/MC: As you proceed towards the base you notice a slight shimmering in the air above you, a few moments later a small monkey like creature jumps from tree to tree, a blue flash suddenly appears in mid-air though and the creature falls straight down, it's body literally turned to dust. About 50 meters ahead you see a small structure, a blue glow being created by it.

Wo2: Your wood splinter flies up almost 100 meters, then encounters the same blue forcefield and is vaporised. Moments later however when MC's tree collides with the field you notice that there is a gap at the bottom of at least 4 meters high, plenty for your battlesuits to sneak under the field through.

MC: Your tree falls down momentarily, before encountering the forcefield as well, instantly vaporising most of the tree, amazingly however you almost notice that the forcefield's lower edge is about 4 meters off the ground and you can thus easily walk under it. The unfortunate monkey just shouldn't have jumping through trees.

ASME: Perhaps you'll want to get a tad bit closer so you can actaully hit it when you start shooting.

Mad cat: From up even closer it's clear that this building is generating the forcefield, but something on the scans is odd. Before you even get a chance to further examine the scans another 6 battlesuits jump up from right in front of the building and open fire at you with Tachyon weapons

oh SHIT!

brings his weapon to bear on one of the suits and opens fire, simotaneously setting his jumpjets to full right and ahead, as he circles the group he continues fireing as he pulls a demolition pack from his back pack, suddenly he reverses his jumpjets and spins, useing the momentum from spinning he flings the pack at the suit and drops to the ground, still dodging he pushes the detonator and runs under the feild to get some cover

whew! that was close, i hope that pack did some damage

pokes out from a tree and fires twice at the hip of the first suit he sees and ducks back

Ceaser was fiddiling with some lose wire in his c**kpit when he heard the sounds of battle from the direction of the building...

MC: "A little help?"

Ceaser looked up to find that 6 cybird battlesuits had jumped them and had begun firing on the other two battlesuits, looking back at the other seemingly sleeping pilots, Ceaser heded towards the fray targetting the nearest battlesuit with all his wepons and fired....

assuming the battlesuit is either destoyed/crippled Ceaser get his jump jets and jumps forward to get hopefully behind another battlesuit...

ooc/ sorry for the slow DM, I've been kinda busy with both homework (curse school) and planning for a new thread. /ooc

MC: Despite your quick reaction your suit takes several hits, causing various systems to malfunction, your already damaged front armor now simply missing, various kinds of fragile electronics exposed or destroyed, Your battlesuit slow to respond and your primary sensor array suddenly gone blank. Various pieces of battlesuit then come flying overhead as your charge goes off.

ASME: The Cybrid battlesuit which was facing the exact other direction quickly collapsed when your weapons fire managed to penetrate its armor and disable at least some of the electronics, the second battlesuit you land right next to as it turns to face you and unleash hell into your suit, Immediatly parts of your left arm's armor go missing.

Bakan: The structure quickly collapses, a pulse of blue light flashing up from it as the entire shield bubble lights up momentarily before collapsing onto itself, turning your sensors blank for a few moments, the next thing you see is the transmitter tower franctically trying to penetrate the jamming of your dropship.

Fluffie/hewitt: Your sensors indicate the shield is now down, the enemy is exposed

With a low, roaring sound, Fluffie's bomber dives into a steep turn and screams over the tops of the trees a fraction of a second later. Ignoring the comment from one of his fellow pilots about the shield being down - something the pilot already knew - he locks his Auto Cannons on the transmitting array, while his Hammer Missiles prepare to fire at some other target, trying to maximize damage and confusion delivered to the enemy.

The bomber is now cleared of the forest, approaching the clearing in which the base is.

mc folds his unarmed arm across the hole in his suits armour and takes a deep breath, he then runs out from behind the tree with gun blazing he fires two shots at the head and torso of the first suit. side-stepping suddenly to avoid oncoming fire he spins and fires three times into the next suit's hip area then fires twice into its arms to disable weapons turning his back on the first suit he pulls a charge and quickly throws it at the suit in front of him, he fires his jumpjets and pushes the detonator. he returns his arm to his chest and spins back to the first suit, (if not already destroyed) he fires twice more into its legs and drops to the ground and takes cover

Having manouvered behind another Battlesuit ASME unloaded his weapons into it, making several unhealthy sized holes in the back armour....

MC: After a short exchange of fire in which the tree you were trying to hide behind is totally immolated, you appear and fire at the first battlesuit, to little avail for both shots did nothing more then scratch his armor. You then turns to the second battlesuit attacking you but as you did so you took yet more hits from behind, again you are unable to penetrate the quite sturdy armor of the second battlesuit, at which point several missiles strike not far from you and send the second battlesuit flying. As you set off your charge however you were still way to close and your attempt to jump jet away only made things worse. Your battlesuit went totally out of controll as all its primary systems blew up on you in mid-air. The last thing you see is a tree as you smash into it, knocking you out and further demolishing your battlesuit.

ASME: Your weapons quickly destroyed the cybrid battlesuit, but as you locked onto the battlesuit targetting MC several missiles streak down just centimeters past you and end the battlesuit.

Bakan: To little avail, for you missed your entire volley.

Fluffie: As you came over were the antenna used to be, there was nothing left but a satisify lump of broken metal and concrete on the ground, parts of 2 cybrid battlesuits littered the air above the forest behind you, a small clearing had been created when MC's charge went off and smoke billowed up from where your missiles had impacted on and near 1 of the battlesuits.

Hewitt: Your quick and rash maneuver almost leaves you in a stall, fortunately you are able to correct just in time, tough your volley of weapons fire partly hit Bakan instead of the targetted battlesuit, which on a sidenote has now been reduced to a smoldering pile of scrap.

all: The dropship comes in and picks you up, with a second dropship coming in to pick up the small amounts of salvage that was still around. Within the hour you are back at the ship and in debriefing. Tech level hasn't changed, ASME, Bakan, MC are now at Rank 2

Next mission: To be determined, safe to say however is that mechs will be involved, targets of oppertunity are currently being determined as well as mission vital objectives, more information will follow soonly.

Supplies: All supplies in abdundance except Tachyon cannons (tech 2, rank 2) which are limited to 2 only.

MC: You find yourself in the sick bay, where a doctor tells you to be carefull next time, you've got a minor concussion and will have to remain in the sick bay for the remainder of the day, after which you'll be allowed to go. That gives you 1 day to prepare for the next mission
