miniBRITS competition help
Small quiz, you identify 12 famous brits (for a chance to win an iPod)
http://goldenboomerang.co.uk/minibrits/ (click play now)
anyway, they were all straightforward except for #9 - the one on Henry VIII's left.
Someone put me out of my misery and identify him please

Re: miniBRITS competition help
I'm not getting the one to the left of Shakespeare....
Only thing I can think of is Dick Wittington, but he's not especially famous...(nor seemingly correct)
ah...it prefers Whittington :|

Re: miniBRITS competition help
Still, I should have got Shakespeare.
I know who most of them are by name, but I couldn't put them to their picture. As for that Whitterington and Lady Godiva - never heard of either of them. I'm an uncultured barbarian.

Re: miniBRITS competition help
Lady Godiva rode through the town naked as a protest against her husbands taxes. Apparently (according to this morning's metro) it's where the origin of the term "peeping tom" comes from, as everyone agreed not to look except for one bloke called Tom.
Dick Whittington is some play about a boy who goes to London because he hears the streets are paved in gold. I think he becomes mayor or some shit.
