Let's have an intellectual discussion on why it's healthier to stay up past midnight rather than having a normal sleeping pattern - such points could be raised like "porn only comes up after midnight" and "too lazy to sleep normal times - I sleep from 4am til 2pm each day".

Guys can discuss the adverse effects on their stamina in general and girls can discuss any psycological effects it has on the mentally (Vampy stayed up way past her bedtime FYI).

staying up past midnight is the only way to do it.

lets face it folks, the morning is BORING. who wants to be up at 7am? to go to work? pah! the only one who get up in the morning are those who have jobs etc. As the majoraty of us dont, or if we do we timetable it to be evening work, why on earth would we want to get up earlier?

the best tv is on late at night, neighbours is on twice a day, so even if you get up after 2 you can see it later, and all post watershed programs are better (lets face it, swearing is funny). Also, all good parties etc last well after midnight, what kind of life would it be if we went to bed earlier?

btw, the end of your post is shit, damn simpsons.

my dad always moans at me and my brother for having such a sleeping pattern, but who really gives a damn? As he sucks at arguing we always win, although i sometimes suspect he has a point.

also, all the cool people on the internet are up past this time, and i can play go with no interruptions whatsoever. it really is fantastic.

My preferred sleeping pattern involves staying awake until late, getting up relatively early and then having another sleep during the afternoon.

I always get a lot more done late at night (less distraction I think) but I can't usually sleep through the morning since my mind wakes me up at 8-9am regardless of whether I have work or not.

i generally go to sleep at about midnight now, and wake up at 7am, although if i need to i can stay up all night, i still cannot lie in, my body will not let me, which can be a bit of a bummer occationally

I got to bed around 1:00 and get up around 9:00 every morning, so my sleep is pretty regular.

If there's work to do the following day I'll be in bed at 1:00am, but if not I don't generally find myself going to bed until 4:00-6:00am, which means sleeping until 1:00pm or so. I think this is because I never actually feel tired during the night for some odd reason (even though I do occasionally during the day), meaning that I have to force myself to go to bed. Still sleep well when I do, though!

Usually I get up about 8 or 9 to go to work until 2 or 3. I usually go to bed around 4 or 5am. I counterbalance my severe lack of sleep by having one **** off 18 hour sleep every week. During college I went to bed at 6 and didn't get up until 3 in the afternoon

Overall I rate night-time higher due to the fact most people that annoy me aren't around as much then. So if I want to read for seven hours, or play champo, or drink, or play poker there are no shit interruptions that just annoy me.

Work hath destroyed my regular, university sleep pattern: ~5am - ~12pm in bed, although the odd lecture sometimes gets in the way.

I now get up for work at 7am and, try as I may, I cannot get to sleep later than 3am - it leaves me totally wrecked.
