gah, dont make me write a list.

1. The header. Its not made to fit the other parts of the portal. And its also bad. I dislike the IX.
2. Portal menu. Something useful.
3. Portal colors. Make the more space-ish.
4. Get rid of the "winter" theme.
6. White background dont fit for a space-game.

I agree with you, the portal has gone from bad to worse each time it's changed. I deleted my previous 2 posts btw.

Everything must be simplified, the word is USER FRIENDLY

User friendliness = more happy people;

More happy people = less people leaving;

Less people leaving = a bigger universe;

2. Like what? - there's a thread to say what you'd like to see on it stickied at the top of the forum.

3. Changing soon

4. Went last night

5. What happened to #5?

6. See 3

And the snow dissapeared from the forums at about the same time as the winter theme was removed from the portal - check what style you're using.

The gfx around "NEWS" and "LOGIN", is that a bug, or was it designed that way? Just remove it altogether, it's easy enough to see it's a heading because of the font/size.

I've never been a fan of the default php-nuke look.

The "interlaced" background is annoying.

What is the point with the windows explorer style minus signs in the menu when you can't click them. It's just confusing. Remove both them and the x's in front of single links, and the menu will look much tidier.

The light blue color is butt ugly, but seems that's agreed upon :P

Portal and the default forumsstyle should have more or less the same colourscheme. Portal, Game, Manuals and Forums should have simular look and feel.

You might have observed at the top of this very forum that there are two stickied threads...

1) Asking what you'd like to see changed on the portal (posted by me)
2) Asking for people to apply to become columnists (posted by DragonLord)

And like I said the banner that is there is temporary.
It will be replaced as soon as we can get one designed after the decision on the R9 name has been taken.

I'm not sure if I've ever actually seen a page that uses php-nuke, let alone coded one. Of course, I have no way of checking the first.
