UDP ports

I'm too tired to go search google (busy day). I keep noticing Generic Host Processes randomly being active in the programs list

sometimes the icon in the top right is w/o a hand, but most of the time it has a lil hand symbol on the icon - there are 2 currently open (generic processes for win32 services) @ Port 1900 & 2234 - sometimes 3 are open, with the 3rd not having a hand symbol and not being used via a UDP port

So am I right to be curious or what as netstat displays nothing open under UDP ports (unless *:* means it is in use)
