Uninstall it (if you upgraded) or reformat. Reformat is by far the better option.

could i use win98 disk to delete primary partition

Miserableman is an unknown quantity at this point
1) Go to www.bootdisk.com
2) Download Windows 98 bootdisk
3) Create bootdisk
4) Reboot onto bootdisk
5) Run fdisk
6) Fiddle

Yes, but then you'll just have to format it anyway. Might as well go straight for the format (unless you're going to run into filesystem problems with whatever you're doing)

format is the most trouble free way IMO, yes you would have to re-install drivers etc...

btw, i'm curious, why do you want to uninstall it?

What OS are you going to install after?

was just testin it out on my other pc and wanted to clear the hd as im not ready to use the pc yet as need a proper graphics card and a monitor that aint got a yellow looking screen.
also its a copy of kazaa.

OK then, well for OSes you don't really uninstall them but rather reformat the drive.
