Re: Coolest building ever (ish)
Looks hideous.
I have a soft-spot for the Houses of Parliament, although that's more of an associative thing as I like going past it on the bus and I was born across the river from it.
Random image here : http://www.atpm.com/7.05/london/imag...parliament.jpg
I don't really have strong opinions about architecture though.

Looks very dated.
Although so does HoP but in a good way! Represents England etc.

Re: Coolest building ever (ish)
Nifty...
Feel I've seen it in a film before (or that style...). Wasn't it in Charlie's Angels, when Drew Barrymore falls out of the window and avoids the bullet?

That style building is in quite a few films.
Even the revolving restaurant in Sam And Max is similar (also doesn't Troy have one in the simpsons episode where he goes out with Selma?)

Didnt Selma live there when she married Troy McClure?

In this case i have to agree with Dante... the idea's good, but externally it looks like one of those 1970s-built water towers.

It was built in 1960 and apparently made quite an impact at the time, so it may well have been the inspiration for other similar designs.

Only a raging queer would find that building attractive.

Re: Coolest building ever (ish)
As a architecture student, I think the interior is fantastic, the look of it at night is cool and it doesn't look sophisticated in terms of design.
The one thing I dislike about it is its location. The place looks like brown-land. Could've been nicer if it was more in a city or overlooking a major city.
As for the House of Parliament, I like gothic architecture

Hi, I'm actor Troy McLure. You might remember me from such films as "P is for Psycho" and "The Presidents Neck is Missing"...
