Is it normal?

Is it normal for people who had a few drinks (so slightly drunk-ish) to get involved in other people's conversations on a bus?

I was going home after hanging out with some friends and I got on my local bus. There must have been at least 6-9 people on the bus, mainly in 2s and 3s. A conversation was taking place between two lads a seat behind me. This is how it went:

Person A: It's difficult to find a job especially when you have particular beliefs. I mean I can't work in places like Tesco or M&S.
Person B: How come?
Person A: Well they sell alcohol. I'm not going near alcohol.

Then person C, a drunk, got into the conversation.

Person C: What's wrong with working in Tesco?
Person A: I've got issues against them.
Person C: There's nothing wrong with working in Tesco. If you are broke and you're desperate for a job, you'd have to forget about everything and work there. It's about accepting everyone from different beliefs and working together. People like you are no good.
Person A: I'm not comprising my beliefs for a job. If you were an animal rights protestor, you'd definitely not work for Glaxosmithkline nor buy their products. Besides, I've worked in an office with all sorts of people so you're claim is flawed. Another thing, this is a conversation between A and B. C is not included.


Now I'm sure I've missed a few words here & there, but that's the jist of it. Why do slightly drunks get into conversations they shouldn't get into and really think they're smart?

Oh and Person A is a muslim.

Pretty normal for drunks to hop into convos....pretty normal for them to make complete asses out of themselves int he process as well.

So no, nothing strange. I'd just wear something metal around your neck and be wary of parked cars for a while.

its great when it happens in a lovely happy way and everyone talks about their nights on a night bus...

its less good when angry drunks pick on some poor bastard and have a go at him just because they are overly aggressive.

To be honest, I haven't seen anything like it in this bus that I catch everytime. I mean I've seen fights between people or bus drivers, arguments between the driver and another driver in a car, etc.

But this I found bizarre.
