US_soldiers engaged in heavy battles in iraq, the president relaxing on his ranch
While the troops are dying on a fast rate, the president is on vacaton on his ranch.
well isnt this fantastic.
since the start of his presidency, W. has spent 220 days on his ranch, combined with his 78 visits to camp david and his 5 visites to the family house in Maine, george has spent 40% of his presidency on vacation.
As we know, the president does not read any newspapers and he does not watch news on TV.
fantastic

The man is surrounded by people smarter than him, so they don't need him to run the country. They read the papers for him, watch the news on tv and take care of business. Bush can just relax and enjoy his free time . It's a perfect job!

Re: US_soldiers engaged in heavy battles in iraq, the president relaxing on his ranch
Most of the presidents spent a huge amount of time away from the white house on "vacation"....as if the guy actually has to be present in the place to run the country.
The white house isn't much more than the physical address of the executive branch. I mean, would YOU want to stay home where you can't even stand out on the balcony without a major ordeal or would you rather go somewhere else where you can move around freely and still have everything available?
I mean, get real. Clinton did the same fking thing but I doubt you were crying about it then, were you?

by clinton he means reagan, and by 'weren't crying about it then' he means 'were up in arms about it'

What the hell difference does it make how many holidays the man has? Would you be happy if we have a workaholic with policies you hated?
Christ, insulting Bush's record is not difficult so why do people resort to this crap?

When the ancient Indians looked into the jungle they could always tell which leaves were about to drop from the tree, because they were either yellow, orange or brown. Consequently, in India, yellow became the colour of renunciation. Monks and nuns robes are yellow so they can act as a constant reminder of the importance of not clinging, of letting go, of giving up.
|
Yellow in ancient indian terms, has a slightly more orangy tinge than the yellow we associate with today. Hare Krishnas wear it for the same reason as Buddhists
