Recruitment
Can anybody suggest any good recruitment websites.

I've registered on monster but apparantly there's no jobs.

Reed has been pretty shit too.

Hays seems to keep jobs on their advertised for ever (so i have zero confidence in applying for a job posted in June).

Yeah so in short i've looked and tried but nothing seems up to very much. I was hoping somebody here might have had better luck with other sites.

in all seriousness you need a local agency that does temp and contract work (if this is what i assume it is rather than you being sacked)

go have a wander along your highstreet and pop in BE CHARMING you will probably have to prove yourselve as reliable to your consultant before he/she takes a risk by giving you anything decent (it is the consultant's livelihood after all ...)

Local agencies are almost always well better than internet ones, they have regular clients that they know to a more personal degree and will go further out of their way for you than Monster's automated search agent which, incidentally, doesn't have a soul.

However, avoid Adecco at all costs - worthless bastards.

No i've not been sacked. Also I've already joined a local agency (a week ago) but as of yet i've had nothing out of them. Looking at their website (and their VERY short list of jobs) was part of the reason i was looking further afield (i naively thought they'd get me a job quick smart ... apparantly not). Thanks anyways.

for what you want i would stick with local agencies and anybody you can visit from the street.

whatever you do don't just register online and think anything will happen for you.

also please have an idea of how much money you want in advance and the minute you get one job tell the other agencies how much you are getting paid - they will then tempt you with better offers.
