Re: [Football] Unbelievable
That's pretty quick.
Still though, it has to go ahead. There's no alternative.

Re: [Football] Unbelievable
I'm missing the point. what's so funny?
oh I understand now. I did read about it but didn't make the link that he might have poisoned half the spurs team.
it'll be quite interesting

Yeah, it should go ahead and we're still gonna do them with our reserve team but everyone is really suspicious/paranoid about this.
The eve of our biggest game in decades, all of the CL controversy, Dein controlling the FA and our entire team is struck down with food poisoning. I think we're just really ****ing unlucky

If West Ham weren't in the cup final then maybe there are alternatives.

I only just noticed. I'm glad I'm going to be in Italy in a few hours and not have to think about the aftermath of this one for a week.

Re: [Football] Unbelievable
You may still win.
Arsenal may lose the final.

I laughed for three hours straight when Spurs didn't make the champions league. Seriously, three hours.

Am i the only who found it dubious that Sheringham took the weak penalty?
I mean, he was at spurs for ages wasnt he?

Im sensing a big lawsuit heading the way of that hotel. Even if its just for the £500k that it cost them by losing 1 league place.

Re: [Football] Unbelievable
It wasnt the way I wanted it to happen.
However, my two best friends are devout tottenham supporters, and they have been winding me up for a long long long time about the 4th spot.
So I'm actually extremely ****ing pleased we pipped them to the post.

Re: [Football] Unbelievable
I agree with Rids, I'm saddened that Spurs didn't simply lose - and mass food poisoning will usually inflict defeats on any team. Nevertheless, Spurs fans have been crooning about this for a long time on boards like BBC 606, so it's ****ing awesome that we took 4th anyway.

Because it stops them getting pissed up the night before and makes sure they turn up for training on matchday.

if you don't treat football players as spoilt children who need discipline they go off the rails.
See Paul Merson and Tony Adams.
There is always some young player who can't handle the fame/money. These are people who forego any education of note to play football. So they need to be watched, especially with young players in a London club. There are very few young players who I know that have a level head and generally don't get into trouble.
Football attracts idiots/morons as it's their only way of making money. Deal with it.

Re: [Football] Unbelievable
YES!
And the way to deal with it is to have nice big clauses in their contracts telling the players that if they **** up instead of turning up they'll get a nice big fine for their trouble.
That and you threaten them (the ones who aren't gay) with anal rape.

Re: [Football] Unbelievable
Yes, I heard that.
Arsenal fans must be worried.
If Spurs say yes and win, they're back to having to win the CL Final.

Re: [Football] Unbelievable
There is absolutely no way the FA will alow a replay. It's like England asking for the World Cup to be delayed by a few weeks because Rooney is injured.

Yes, apparently that request hasn't been met with a good response by too many fans.
The Germans in particular don't like it - you know how precise they want to be.
