Re: Spyware, again.
I have a ridiculous amount of popups at random times in the day for no apparent reason. Google occasionally brings up porn dialers, etc

Re: Spyware, again.
Ok, I have a few problems.
First is something called Popnav, which keeps diverting me to popnav.com for shits and giggles.
Secondly, I have something that opens up a random window every hour or so, and then tries to download content. I tell it to **** off, it asks me again, despite telling it to **** off, it tries again. I cancel that, I close the window, it tries again.
ARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH
HULK SMASH.

So did i the first time. Unfortunately the "do you accept the agreement of this company HOT XXX TEENS XXX 6969696969 to have license to **** you up good and proper" keeps coming up - you hit no, it says "you must hit ok to continue," you hit close, it comes up again. You have to either ctrl alt delete or quickly alt+f4 to get rid of them.
Also it can come up at any time. Randomly browsing BBC sport for half an hour, then bang.
I wish i even had the Hot XXX to have earned such shite, but i dont.

Re: Spyware, again.
I had the exact same thing with the porn diallers and the retarded number of pup-ups (like 62 in the space of less than 5 seconds at one point).
Managed to sort it out though. Can't remember exactly what they were but i found some dodgy stuff running in processes. I then manually deleted them and removed them from the registry etc. Sorted it out fine. Took about half an hour of hard searching around my hard drive though.

Re: Spyware, again.
I just removed one of these from a friends machine. Its a trojan/worm that installs spyware and makes sure it stays installed. You can get a fix for it, but damit I can't remeber the name. It starts with a P. I just did it last night:/
It wasn't popnav either.
Peced maybe.

Re: Spyware, again.
rids, you should anyways go to www.microsoft.com, let it search your comp and update the weakness. Microsoft doesnt exactly release bug free software.

Frecell.
Anyway lads, thanks for all your help on this, think I've manage to get it to **** off for now. Just praying the pile of shite doesnt worm its way back on here again.
Is there anything I should install, say Norton Internet Security or similar to try and prevent this from happening again. ALthough, a keypart would be that whatever I install doesnt **** around with my fileshare programs or online gaming, heh.

Re: Spyware, again.
NB3, I get spyware when I surf on newspapers, some discussion boards, and football sites...
With updates on my windows.
Though that spyware isnt those who are the most dangerous.
