any chance someone might enable the option to let people choose their own?

it need only be temporary, eg. 24 hours when the mods could be vigilant, and then disabled again. Or give a mod the power and then everyone can drive him mad with requests

On other matters I'm normally anal about restricting the rights and free speech of others but I have to agree that I don't see any reason why avatars can't just be enabled in the first place. You can just post some guidelines on their usage etc and delete anyone abusing the system as you would most other things.

I was 1:13:1 in round 1. Now back in them days galaxies were filled consequentially as were clusters. (hence the concordium C2 powerblock when they abused this feature to get all allies into one cluster).

The reason we had so many members in c2, beside the fact that most of our core members joined PA during the filling of c2, like it, and then invited friends, Is the fact that it startet as a _cluster_ alliance. To defend ourselves against other incluster hostiles (like the nasty 2:5 people) and even more importantly to defend against the larger players of c1. This I think we managed to do quite well, and as PA grew we invited more people from other Clusters, mainly friends. IIRC there were 20 planetts to the galaxy and 50 galaxies to the cluster, which would make me planet #1301 to be created. I did however never play the beta rounds before round1.
