Cid: This could be either very good or very bad, depending if those two ships are hostile or friendly.
No1: If, at all, used at all.

Cid paced around the holographic projection of this Frodan System and thought carefully. His electronic eye scanned the hologram whilst his other simply admired the veiw. Cid's Demai Number One appeared from the other side and automatically pointed at Frodan VII.

No1: We can take those ships for our own, we would have much more chace of taking out Lady Hawk.
Cid: We also need to refeul the FTL drives, this place would do well for a base of operations. Very Well, send us into the system, first stop will be Frodan VII, send in ten infantry into each vessel companies to take out any resistance within that ship and take them both for our own. Then take us to Frodan III, we may be in luck and will be able to take the planet for our own, prepare the fighters and make sure they are prepared for any incoming.
No1: We may find this place hard to occupy when accompanied by pirates and mercinaries. Besides, they are hunting Lady Hawk.
Cid: Ah, but they will need fuel and they will need much-needed support on Lady Hawk's capture, this system would be a base-point, shall we say, so we can look for her and refeul without having to return back to Ankaa. Also, place all redundat FTL energy into the main sublight engines, speed is of the essance here. Charge the main forward Phased Hellbore Cannon, you never know when it might help.
WO: Aye sir.

Cid: Do not relay my orders to the ther vessels, just get the jobs I set done as soon as possible, they will know soon enough.
Comms: Are you sure sir? They may get suspicious.
Cid: Open a text-communication to the other ships, inform them that we are searching the ship wrecks for possible resources and investigating the jungle world for possible feul resources within the system.
Comms: Aye sir.

*Kama quietly considered the options for moment, he had the luxary of less lag time on the scans than Mr. Fluffie. Such that he might later be afford the knowledge of his own impending doom a full second before his partner, allowing for relative increase in anxiety by a factor of twenty... Perhaps that was why he didn't look just as smug as he might have been when The Outsider finally did get around to contacting them.

"Looks like we're going in, my dear barbarian... I suppose it is safer that we can research them out here, rather than go knocking on our grumpy neighbour's front door. However it does worry me that they might be getting territorial again, we had better hurry."

So: "Scans routed to your station sir. It seems the Gripstar is in a hurry, they're rerouting all their FTL energy into their drives and making a break for the system."
Comms: "Text only comm from the Gripstar, they're heading for the 2 destroyers to see if they're friendly or abandoned and checking the jungle world for fuel resources."
No1: "We can get there a lot faster sir."

Flapjack: "Comms, send a message to the Gripstar, tell them we're headed for the 3rd planet at maximum possible speed, helm set a course, reroute all availble power to the engines, raise shields and have weapons at standby. Engineering, can we still use the linear pulse? If so, start charging, if we can't reroute power from the FTL drive to conventional drives and standby to boost shields if needed."

Helm: "Course set, all engines all ahead full."
Comms: "Message sent."

Outside the Phoenix Rising's triple drive array burst to life, sending the ship hurtling in-system at rapidly increasing speeds.

Stars spinning around in a dance of fate. The sound of escaping oxygen. The smell of burning systems and flesh. All of those and more assaulted the man, his torn combat space suit both killing him and assaulting him with the smells of hell. Looking at his arm, which was several feet ahead of him, still clutching the rifle, the man blinked in dull shock even as his suit pumps in painkillers and stimulants into his system. Picking himself up, almost tripping over a fellow soldier whose condition of death was obvious thanks to his low torso being missing, he reaches down and performs the grim task of prying his weapon loose from the grip of his dead hand. A warning light starts flashing, indicating that his oxygen supply was running critically low. Through the breached suit, the man hears the roars of the demonic creatures behind him. Spinning around, he screams and opens fires stumbling back. One of the creatures, with it’s scaly brown skin, dances on all fours along a wall and then leaps at the man, razor sharp claws extended, and then sweet pain…..

”You there captain?

Opening his eyes, Incom looked around. The tight confines of a space-suit assaulted his senses, but missing this time was the hissing of escaping air. Looking around the wreckage that surrounded him, Incom saw Wilson Gabe, also clad in a spacesuit, applying the last of the hull acid to the safe.

“Yeah, let’s make this quick, I got a bad feeling about this.”

With a barely noticeable nod, Wilson activates the acid, which burns it’s way through the hull plating. Then a soundless suddenness, the piece of metal goes flying away as the contained air beneath it exploded it away. Under it was a level, which Incom reached over and pulled. To the side of the level a panel opened, revealing several creates, all looking intact. Turning to Wilson and Samantha, Incom gave a thumbs-up through his suit.

“Looks good people, let’s get these aboard.”

Reaching over to the crate, Incom grabs one and passes it out when static suddenly fills his suit.

”Boss, we got problem, NSR Cruiser on approach vector, looks like they detected the derelict.”

“Roger, go dark.”

Looking up through the crack in the hull that gave a clear view of the stars, Incom saw the cruiser far in the distance, slowly moving through space without a care in the world. Holding his breath, he watced it and the tiny pinpricks of light that danced around it.

”Awe crap, we’re humped. They must have detected the residual heat signature, incoming fighters and the cruiser is changing course.”


”Alright people let’s double time out of here. Grab the cargo and let’s book. Vash, hit up the crybaby.”

Grabbing his crate, Incom lightly pushed off the deck, flying through the void, exiting the derelict cruiser towards another ship, a much smaller Corvette, the Rising Fall.” Looking down to see Sam and Wilson also gliding after him, Incom felt his skin tickle as one of the tractor beams on the Corvette latched onto him, pulling him and his crew towards the cargo bay doors, which were already open. Looking up at the battered and patchworked hull, with many systems slapped onto areas where they were not suppose to be, yet to his eyes she was a thing of beauty. Salvaged from a battlesite, the former Arrakis Defender Corvette at first looked to have been a lost cause, yet surprisingly most of the damage was somewhat repairable. While not even close to being a warship, she made a very good salvage ship for Incom and his small crew. His mental monologing then cut off as he passed into the cargo bay. Artifical gravity took over and he touched the ground, with Wilson and Sam also entering.

”Boss, they bought the crybaby and it is making mother sigh. They are changing course to intercept.

Mentally cursing the loss of a long-range probe rewired to simulate a NSR distress signal, Incom realized it was a small price to pay to escape.

“Hit up the main drives, let’s moon them.”

The Rising Fall fired it’s thrusters, pulling away from the wreckage of a passenger liner, then rotated on it’s axis, firing her two Impulse engines with her warp nacelles extending from the sides. Rapidly gaining speed, her warp engines flashed and she escaped into faster than light travel.

Meanwhile, Incom, doffing his helmet jogs through the ship’s main corridor towards the cockpit. Entering he saw Vash sitting there, with Karen tinkering with a engineering console.

Vash: “Looks like we made a clean getaway. I’m detecting no signs of pursuit behind us.”

“Excellent. Set course for our contact, we got some business to make.”

Crew Profiles

Incom “Bakan” Morgan – A former NSR special forces operative, Incom received training in some of the worst black-ops missions ever done. Rising quickly through the ranks, he then was slated for a mission involving a new form of teleportation through another dimension. Things went to hell in a handbasket, and all records of what happened were classified at the highest level, with Incom being one of the sole survivors, despite having lost an arm. The arm easily replaced with a mechanical replacement, the events scarred him mentally, and he “left” the service without much warning. Drifting around, he picked up a few former squadmates and some additional people and operated a small salvage operation. Finding the mostly intact Defender corvette, he and his crew “liberated” it and refitted it to be operated by a much smaller crew. Since then they have operated, taking on whatever missions they can find to keep flying, with Incom contantly hunting for something.

Wilson Gabe – A mercenary for hire, Wilson came to serve with Incom when Incom offered him his own room, shower and a decent cut in the spoils, leaving his former employer with a hole in the leg. Not very intelligent, Wilson instead focused on weapons and fighting throughout his life. Hording a small arsenal in his quarters, he is known for entering a fight first and leaving last and is not much help in most other areas.

Samantha Yeli – Serving with Incom Samantha, or Sam as she is called, was not around for the mission that Incom was on, but saw the effects as he recovered from his wounds. What little he did say was enough to convince her to join him when he left the NSR. During the beginning, it was just the two of them until they found the Rising Fall, as of which point they hired on Vash, who despite not being liked by Sam, eventually won her over and the two married. A excellent shot with a rifle, she is versatile in all ship functions.

Vash Yeli – The pilot of the Rising Fall, Vash is exceptionally skilled, able to make ships perform maneuvers that they should not be able to. Not much of a fighter, he still somehow to the amazement of most people who first meet him and Sam, married her and the two are happily married.

Kayel Jaloi – A very young women, Kayel is a gifted natural in mechanics, and since her fathers shop didn’t have much work, she hung out at the shipyards, using her charms to get onto ships to look at their engines. When she did this on the Rising Fall when it was landed for repairs, she showed up the previous engineer by pointing out that the problem the old engineer thought was impossible to fix was a very simple one. Hired on the spot, she loves the challenge of keeping the patchwork components on the Rising Fall running properly.

Burnham: "I don't care. I need her here now! Get her here this instant! Besides, she has her problem under control pretty well. And get me the engine room on screen. Letice, raise our shields!"

CO: "Yes Captain Dr. Burnham Sir!"

TO: "Shields are up!"

* On the viewscreen appeared a young fat woman. In one hand she was holding an icecream cone and the other held an as yet untouched hotdog. What she was currently chewing on, only she knew. When she saw Dr. Burnham on her screen, she tried to salute and nearly knocked off the box of chocolates that was on her desk.

Burnham: "Sheila, reroute the power from the FTL drives to the regular engines. We need all the speed we can get. Also, take the AFDIII system offline and use its cold fusion drive to enhance our shield strength. Do it now!"

EO: "Mmhmuff mmr mrnhrm!"

Burnham: "Spit that out!"

EO: "Yes Dr. Burnham! I'll see to it imeediately!"

Burnham: "Larry! I want you to perform a thorough scan of this system. Especially look for any signs of cloaked ships or other structures that may not show up on normal scans. And see if you can determine the source of that gravity well. Is it natural or artificial?"

SO: "Will do."

Burnham: "Put the ship on alert status. Inform sickbay and the damage control teams of the situation and tell them to stand by. Wayne, have the fighter pilots get to their ships, but do not yet give any launch clearances."

WC: "Ayaye Dr. Burnham."

Burnham: "Judy, take us in pursuit of captain Killer, full speed, and be ready for some evasive action."

Helm: "Okidoki Burnie!"

* As everybody followed up on their orders and The Outcast went after The Gripstar in a hurry, Lisa finally entered the bridge...

TO - according to the data sir I have plotted the best route and according to the Computer sir that Space Station has fuel Bays - if we are lucky we can refuel there.

EO - we should find some fuel otherwise that Space Station would have flown apart

No1- thats what worries me

WO - aint heard any rumours about that place

Comms - we could always try to contact those KIPIRE MERCHANTS who found it....

SO - however they are not on our route it would add 20 light years to our journey to find them

No1 - However information is always handy....

I don't mean to start a long argument or a hot debate here, so I hope no one will get annoyed at me asking these things, but how come Bakan has 58100 credits left? I thought everyone would start off with just 100K? Or is it just a typo and should that 5 be a 1? Also, I thought it wasn't allowed to use shield mounts for anything other than shields? Or has that rule changed recently?

He book balancing is correct if he assumed we had 120k credits, perhaps from previous restart values, or behind the scenes dealing that's out of PC sight currently.

So far he has spent - 61 900 credits.

But we've had the backwards compatible additional discussion before, although the description was never uber clarified I'm fairly sure justice prevailed and the ship/player corrected/explained to, last time?

Not to worry however - he has choosen the hull for it's shiny accessories at bargin price - however he has neglected to utilise the ships strongest attribute or rather purpose. Giving up all those shield mounts will most likely get his crew rattled about like ants on a snare drum.

Eh, either Mr. Kama and Statnazi Fluffie have both made the same error, or I am looking at the wrong shipstats, but isn't Mr. Bakan flying a defence corvette? Your calculations are assuming it's a defence frigate, and that one is 20K cheaper?

Whether the shieldmount conversion is smart or not, isn't really my concern. (Although I tend to agree with you, Mr. Kama.) It's just something I like to know for future ship designs, because I often find myself short of a turret or additional mount with still a few shield mounts spare.

Well, LH is quite right to approve a Defence Corvette of such standing, because all his stuff fits on one of those hulls (even correctly), they have 16 shield / 10 turret / 10 external / 10 additional mounts to play with. The hull he has designed off of is actually a Defense Frigate as Fluff tried to point out.

Here's either spent 61 900, or 81 900 credits, not much to really worry about, it's just some stuck up gits like myself enjoy the personal minting process of ship design - the more restrictions the better - anything I jumble together has to have style (highly objective I know). While other folks just like their speed-holes / go faster stripes.

yup his ship is not what you think it is - bakan did not want to play an out and out warship he wanted to play a salvage ship - and as such after hours of discussion we reached an agreement - thats why he will not take part in standard missions that you get as his ship would not be much cop against true warships.

he wants to take a differnt route - much like kama and his science vessel

I think I just remembered something; if you used the wrong mounts, didn't you get efficiency penalties or wasn't your ship prone to system failures or taking more damage than normal or something like that?

Chief Justiman walked briskly up to Gains, looking purposeful. He held a data device in his hand and began tapping it as he fell into step with the Major.

“Our ordinance has been fully restocked and all fighters are cleared for flight. Fuel reserve are at maximum. Nirai Kanai is good to leave whenever necessary.”

“Excellent. The intelligence reports?”

“Are here. Approximate specs on target vessels and suspected tactics.”

Justiman handed over the device and they both stopped while Gains examined it. Gains frowned at he read down the lists.

“Not the best intelligence I’ve seen. ‘Thick Hide Hull’, ‘Magma Drive’?”

“Yeah... I think Ankaa Scouting has been making things up. Again.”

“We’ll make do. Get the senior staff together. We can work up an ops plan from this.”

“They’re already waiting for you on the Nirai Kanai.”


They were indeed waiting. Opek was, of course, missing, but Reynolds, Jorson, Farore, Valin, Kite and the Senior Medic, Erti were all there. Gains missed Collie being there, she was always the voice of reason. Justiman and Valin didn’t play nice together, and Collie always managed to mediate, mostly because she and Justiman were so close. Kite was never easy to deal with either. All of them did their jobs more than well enough when the time came, but it made planning sessions a nightmare. Captain Valin, head of the second company on the ground and weapons control in flight, began the briefing in his usual abrasive tone.

“This report is worthless. No locations, no details or even evidence of its truth.”

“It is real; Ankaa doesn’t just fabricate these for fun you know.”

“How would you know, Chief, it could be set by someone as a trap for us.”

“Would you set a trap with someone with superior firepower as bait?”

The Chief and Captain were starting early today, and Major Gains had had about as much he could stand already.

“Enough! Just because Jeme isn’t here doesn’t mean you use it as an excuse to have verbal gunfight. This is all we have, and it will do. Suggestions. Proper ones, please.”

Reynolds, the young Tech Sergeant who served as both head combat engineer and Nirai Kanai’s chief engineer spoke next, his ever present enthusiasm shining through.

The Science Officer quickly changes the current image of the space station in the distance to the opening Trans Warp Conduits for all eyes on the bridge to see.

No. 1 - "Oh dear."

"Chrono Borg?"

WO - "Heh, looks like we've completed part of our mission already, eh?"

SO - still a bit shocked - "I... I guess. At least they live."

MC - "Then lets see if we can recover some tech. Our ally has no troops to board offensively, so that will be up to us... If they survive our onslaught."

WO - grins, most of the Marines were ex-Kipire as well, including the MC - "*grin*"

"Heh, yes. If they survive our onslaught... Prepare your troops regardlessly, one platoon on ship's security in case they decide to board, have the second ready to deploy instantly, be it boarding or defending ourselves."

MC - "Sir!"

No. 1 - "We'll probably need to go past them anyhow, our fuel... Or at least the fuel we want is there."

"Indeed. Helm, prepare to close in, hold steady for the moment though."

Helm - "Aye aye cap'n."

Fluffie quickly presses a button in his Captain's Seat, opening the channel to Kama's ship that Nona had prepared earlier.

"Looks like we've completed one quarter of our mission already, my dear scientist. The Chrono Borg still live... Now what do you say about engaging them? Or rather, scanning them so that we will have optimal data for our targetting computer once we get in range? With a bit of luck, they won't be entirely destroyed and then we can board... So... What do you say? Engage, or turn away?"

They were indeed waiting. Opek was, of course, missing, but Reynolds, Jorson, Farore, Valin, Kite and the Senior Medic, Erti were all there. Gains missed Collie being there, she was always the voice of reason. Justiman and Valin didn’t play nice together, and Collie always managed to mediate, mostly because she and Justiman were so close. Kite was never easy to deal with either. All of them did their jobs more than well enough when the time came, but it made planning sessions a nightmare. Captain Valin, head of the second company on the ground and weapons control in flight, began the briefing in his usual abrasive tone.

“This report is worthless. No locations, no details or even evidence of its truth.”

“It is real; Ankaa doesn’t just fabricate these for fun you know.”

“How would you know, Chief, it could be set by someone as a trap for us.”

“Would you set a trap with someone with superior firepower as bait?”

The Chief and Captain were starting early today, and Major Gains had had about as much he could stand already.

“Enough! Just because Jeme isn’t here doesn’t mean you use it as an excuse to have verbal gunfight. This is all we have, and it will do. Suggestions. Proper ones, please.”

Reynolds, the young Tech Sergeant who served as both head combat engineer and Nirai Kanai’s chief engineer spoke next, his ever present enthusiasm shining through.

Burnham: "Judy, take us in pursuit of captain Killer, full speed, and be ready for some evasive action."

Cid's eye widened as the first shots were fired upon the Gripstar, and imediatly launched out of his seat, shouting orders to his bridge crew.

Cid: Sh*t! Get us in evasive manauver! Get us out of range from those asteroids, now!
Helm: Moving us now, sir!
Cid: Launch all fighters, orders are to Scatter and Confuse! Draw their fire from the Gripstar but bomb those asteroids at the same time!
WO: Fighters are launching, sir! Orders sent!
Cid: Keep the main cannon charging, I want it ready to fire as soon as possible! All other weapons are to divert energy to the sheilds, same with the FTL drive!
WO: Hellbore Cannon charging, sire!
EO: Diverting the energy now, sir!

Cid paced towards the holomap of the asteroid belt, frowning angrily at the veiw.

Cid: Send out a warning beacon and distress signal, quick burst only. Message as follows: Ambushed by hidden asteroid defense systems, ships are active and not abandonned as previous scans indicated. Require assistance. End message.
Comms: Sending the message now, sir.
Cid: And get me a full scan of all those asteroids, I want to know what makes them tick and how we can take them down with minimal damage!
SO: Scanning now, sir.

Cid's No1 hopped up next to him, or at least next to his leg, and looked at the holomap carefully.

No1: Sir, we could send the ship behind some of the asteroids to avoid being hit, however those destroyers may be able to follow us and track us down.
Cid: If we can pull up out of range, we may be able to turn around with all three capital ships and make a proper assault. Until then we will have to avoid being hit at all.

as a child, Robert Crimshaw often had great grades and easy time in most of the scientific tech contest he enter, mostly due to an uncanny ability to sense , to a certain limit, the future.. kind like premonition. though he never personnaly understood how or why.. he grew up with the gift.. never boasting about it. but many surrounding him suspect something was not right.. and often told his father.. the station chief of Omincron 4 space station.. to ask about the child uncanny ability.. Busy as he was Captain Crimshaw never notice this until Robert became old enough to enter into station fight patrol training..

Robert instructor.. a big muscular man named Howard Desautel , train the young man into flight procedure and spaceship manuvers.. Robert learn quickly.. often surprising Desautel with questions about ship systems and ship design ideas..

then came time for Robert to train on simulator.. fat first , the challenge of facing a computer was not appealing to him.. thinking it would be more interesting to pilot the real thing of redign it , rather that trying to shoot down simulation... but he complied.. he computer always coming with new and faster manuvers to take the your man at a disavantage.. But Robert was seemingly always a step ahead on the computer!!

So much so, that after 3 year of training and studying, Robert was promote 1st class, and given the rank of enseign. At age 21, he was the youngest pilot to get promote. That was noted by his father, who decided to have him go of space patrol, with a squad of 6 other fighters.. Robert found that patroling space and verifying cargo was not as fun as he thought.. until , 6 year later, while patroling.. his radio started sounding with a distress call ..

This is the destroyer attack class Rising Sun, calling all ships in the area.. mayday.. mayday.. we re under attack by 3 Heavy corvettes and 20 fighters... we request assistance.. shield are down ..

The Rising Sun.. his father s ship!!.. nothing was more important , more urgent to the young man...
his wing on his tail.. they charged as fast as their engin could carry them.. they arrive just in time to see the attack destroyer blown to bit , but not before it fired on the lead corvette and it s escort.. turn the sector of space into a giant fireball...

fulled by rage , he engage 2 fighters and soaked them in a missile barrage that blew them up.. soon after , 4 heavy cruiser arrived to the area.. forcing thethe remaing ships to retreat..

Once back on the station.. he started to inquire about ship supply , weapons , shield generators, and enlist the aid of the station engineers... he showed them holosimulation of a ship he wanted build with what the based acquired through the years of fight vs the pirated and from salvage of battle.. it would be his ship..
a destroyer leader of a new design.. The Black Dagger.

The Black Dagger would be fast , sleek and deadly.. using 2 impulse drive , colapsium armor , transwarp technology , and would be equip with th best of stealth technology available....

But Robert knew he d need a crew, ppls who would want to help him avenge his father's death
the first person to come to mind was his mentor , Lieutenant Howard Desautel.. the man seeing Robert since his graduation, and sharing the grief of a lost friend, accepted the offer.. though it would be years till the Black Dagger would be ready. Robert asked the engineer /pilot to oversee the construction of the ship while ould go to the Officer Training Academy.

After another 10 years passed, Robert returned to the Space Station, a full captain by now, and eager to let his new found determination and new tactical skills do havoc on those pirates.

Entering the the Construction Bay of the station, the first thing he saw was a huge piece of blackness.. The Black Dagger was almost finish.. maybe another week or two.. crews and technicians were moving in and out of the ship, putting What was looking up as finishing touches here and there...

"a fine ship it will be.. once it s finish... " said Desautel with a proud look on the ship.. Turning to face Robert, he suggested "Want to inspected it sir?" he offered kindly.. knowing more than guessing the young man eagerness. Robert, not looking at the lieutenant, nodded.. starting toward the ship.. slowly.. like if it would disappear if he got to close. surely, everything was as he expected.. a twin impulse drive working in concert with a transwarp drive! alot of energy to feed the weapons and shield.. the armor made of colapsium was gliming only where light shone.. like a Black diamond..

"Ship status?" asked Robert, curious to know what was still needing to be done..

"engins have been installed and tested, working at 80% efficacity atm , energy weapons installed yet but not the torpedo launchers, should be dealt with withing the next few days, ship shield working at 95% efficatity, the engineer crew excpect to get it up to 99 % in 2 days.. cloaking shield and cloaking device fully active.. full computer and scanner arrays and upgrade install, still needing a few days of adjusting.. no medical bay, engineering or scientific bay also missing.. 25 ton of supply and reload in the cargo hold, though adding a few tractor beam would be ideals.. crew is manned ..." said Desautel..

"enseign Green estimate all ships system and upgrade should be at full capacity in 72 hours, lieutenant Andrew seem annoy that she cant get comm to work long range.. something about ion radiation making the transmitters no fonctional.. scanners also seem to have suffer but at a lesser degree"

"So more tweaking need to be done, and we ll be ready to go out "Robert finished..
"is there anything that need to be adress?"
"actually sir, we do have a small problem " said Desautel , " the construction of the ship used almost all the money your father left to you.. and the station is ill equip to do the remaining work" Desautel continued..
"we aldo need a tactical officier and a helmsman, not to mention a doctor!"

"alright then.. As soon as Major Barett comes to relieve me from Station duty, we ll head for the nearest Star Forteress or planet factory to finish repair and preparation" said Robert Crimshaw.

3 days later.. Major Barrett arrived at the space station , with 10 other officers.. taking command of the station , relieving the young captain .

"Barrett to Black Dagger.. , Captain Crimshaw, how s your status ?"

"Black Dagger ready to take her leave, sir! Awaiting permission to leave and opening of bay doors" replied Crimshaw.

looking around his bridge, he was now , for the first time in year, Anxious to get on the move.. uneasiness crawling under his skin, like a black cloud about to burst..

"Space Station Omnicron 4 to Black Dagger" came a message on comm , " opening bay doors , you re clear to go"

"helm, all ahead, 2/3 impulse.. let s get moving.. " ordered Crimshaw
"heading sir?" asked Helen Pool, the young helmsan
"starbase 234" said Crimshaw, not noticing his helmsman and old flight colleague.
"aye aye sir!"
"engage full impulse once we re clear the station till we re out of the system, then jump to transwarp." said Crimshaw again.

halfway out of the system , a signal came in through the comm.
Comm Officer Darren McCabe notified with a somewhat hesitant voice the Captain.

"Sir... I m receiving a message , but it s badly garbled, look like there s lot of static .. i dont understand why sir.. "
"put it on audio.." replied Redgrave, the 1st officer
"putting on audio now , sir"

"This is xzzzcxcggg ...tion Omni ...dxgyuugyfgy are under att... dsgfgfhggogo[uhbbv .. fleet of ..... fgdtyft7oggh..
torpedoes are... gfguygguigftrs[p]ik ...too many ships are firing.. we need help... i reap...fdfgdstryggytfyp[

"sir .. we lost contact with the space station, sir. What s your orders?"

from the arm comm of the captain seat..

"captain sir!, this is engineering... shield are not raising.. and the weapon array is not fully install.. we cant go.. it would be suicide!!!"

at that moment , Crimshaw letted out the biggest and loudest stream of curse he could have thought of... to the dismay of his bridge officers.

"ensign Green .. full sensor sweep.. we got to know what s going on!! engin room.. engage cloaking device!! full impulse ahead, helm hard 180 again.. let s run while we can, back to star forteress 234"

From science station :"sir shockwave class 2 imcoming.. 25 second to impact.. i cant find space station omnicron4 sir!, scanning show 12 battle cruiser and many escort ships on aheading of 124 mark 8 moving away"

"enginroom.. transwarp now.. "order Crimshaw.

as the second passed.. a vibration start overtaking the new destroyer.. then the transwarp corridor formed allowing escape from the incoming energy wave.

"let s get to base and report" said Crimshaw , his eyes having fires in them, his jaw thightly close and his fist uncounscious banging on his chair...
