Re: Harry Harry Harry! In in in!
Hope that when they come to visit, he's locked out the ground, and left to the fans to deal with him.
Great manager though he was (and we're eternally grateful for all he's done), he had started to whine excessively about a small squad (even though half of it was out on loan) and to live off the fact he'd got us up - on the other hand, Zajec, for all his faults has just got on with it and got us 6 points (3 away!) where the team has fought as if their lives depended on it, with no fit strikers (considering Fuller needs ice on his knee day in day out and Lua Lua is only half fit) and once a manager is appointed someone dedicated to improving the club infrastructure.
Redknapp is a good manager - but he will only take you as far as midtable, will want total control, and in terms of wages and agents fees isn't the cheapest. I sense he'll have a hard time at Scum getting on with Lowe for the cash he needs to build a squad for the style of football he plays, as the current one is totally inadequate for it.
I refer you to a post by someone on our forum, who sums it up perfectly, for those who don't support the club.
Quote:
You have only heard the Harrys's side of the story from the very Pro harry media.
Dont believe all that Madaric drove him out bollox, its simply not true!
The newspapers couldn't believe that we sung our hearts out for Milan, after all they were expecting a back lash, it showed us they really dont know what is going on with our club.
We could not continue the clubs progress simply by going about things in the Harry way, even he admitted that.
Harry could have carried on with no change to his job and no effect on his pay. Harry has lied repeatedly over the whole saga where as Milan has been proven to have been honest and true over and over again
For starters is Jim Smith going to Scum? no, Milan said Harry wanted rid of Smith but Harry called him a liar
Harry said he'd never go to Sothampton in front of Hundreds of fans, Harry's gone to Southampton
Harry said he wanted a break, 9 days later he's with another club
People have to realise that our club has a div 1 infrastructure and only 3 directors 1 of who is Fred Dinage FFS, it was obvious we need some other bodies at the club keep everything running smoothly, Harry just used Zajec as an excuse.
Milan is a foreigner who has put a fortune into our club and could (and should) have left many times but he's still here when he could be on his yacht in France, while Harry has always proclaimed the same love to the fans but has stitched us up like a kipper

As much as i was totally behind redknapp last time, this time it's a bit different.

Re: Harry Harry Harry! In in in!
In reply to Lokken's quote, I don't see how Harry Redknapp could co-exist with a european style Director of Football. In that sense, it is Zajec, not personally, but passively, who created the problem for Redknapp.

Re: Harry Harry Harry! In in in!
Zajec isn't a director of football though - he's simply a director on the board responsible for scouting, getting a new training infrastructure, and building us a decent youth setup.
He was to have no influence on first team affairs.

Really? Everything I read, from bbc.co.uk, to the daily papers, suggested he was a DoF.

Re: Harry Harry Harry! In in in!
On MOTD2 on sunday night Jim Smith was on and looked pissed off his face.
Wouldn't be suprised if he's hit the bottle in a big way.

Yes, really.
And i'm not shocked you got that POV from the media. They latched on the title 'Football Director' and instantly presumed it meant 'Director of Football'.
