What is the process after being nominated? Are you pitched against other nominees in a selection process?

It is kind of strange that the US=Federal Reserve chooses the WB president.

as if they got much help from there before. its still a sad thing that economics nowadays are reduced to making the rich richer by cutting the rights and wages of the poor.

Nono, you missed the point.
US objects because he is anti-gun lobby.
You need a vile gung-ho NRA member as ambassador to the UN in their opinion. Only those have the right mindset.

They veto it if it isn't an American.
I'm sure I read somewhere that they control the IMF as well.

I can not believe you can not differentiate between ´world´s most powerful nation´ and ´the no-good bastards at the helm of the the world´s most powerful nation who will mess shit up badly´.

World's most powerful nation takes yet another step to control all developing countries and their economies whilst people continue to sit back and watch
Noone claimed it as much of a shocker, more of a 'oh great they're still trying to run the world'

It´s a language thing. One line moronic is not one of my good points.
Besides, you posted this, now, four times? It´s an ´ace´ reaction to something, you may think, but god your shiteness knows no boundaries. I have never ever witnessed something else but drivel from your brain. It is as if you can only breathe, sleep, **** and retort crappy one liners while you don´t even know what the **** they are on about half of the time.

you are somewhat right, but still, can you expect the countries who fund those two organizations to give up their control over them? and to what end? instead of an american / european you get some guy from some deveoping country who runs them in his self interest instead. thats not much of a difference to me.
I don't say there are no problems with those two organizations or with that whole free trade crap. forcing developing countries to open there markets while at the same time the rich countries protect theirs certainly isn't going to solve the problems of those countries, but i have no idea how to fix that in the real world. noone is going to give up control over something they pay a lot of money for.

Traditionally, the US appoints the head of the World Bank. Europe appoints the head of the IMF.
