Question Swing Music

I've heard a few pieces of "swing" music (you know, that stuff from the 30s that sounds a bit like jazz) and I think it's pretty good. I don't know much about it though, like if there were any well-known bands or anything like that.

What I'm asking, are any of you music buffs aware of famous bands or well known swing songs that I could have a listen to? Where should I start?

edit: Count Basie, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellingtion are probably the most famous. Check also Lester Young and Fletcher Henderson.

Start with Glenn Miller. The best known swing record of all time is "In the Mood."
Benny Goodman is also very good. Tommy Dorsey, Jimmy Dorsey also are classics.

Recently there have been groups such as Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Royal Crown Review and The Brian Seitzer Orchestra. Seitzer has a tune call "Jump Jive an' Wail" that is catchy.
