Re: kronenbourg blanc
I hear it's a complete ripoff and tastes like a bad white wine.
However, while I was on holiday I tried a bottled beer called Desperados. Ignore the name, it's brewed in France not Mexico. Basicly beer with tequila, tastes very nice but more of an alcopop than a beer I guess.

Desperados is probably the most disgusting drink I have ever had the misfortune of trying :(

Lambrini doesn't qualify as alcohol.

lol. I don't drink. I went to a party last night and watch (nearly) everybody else get absolutely wasted! It's god fun, apart from when they all fall asleep and you're still hyper, when you get bored...

Na. If you want real beer, then try some stuff like Kirin and Asahi beers, Doktor Czeck, Schneider Weiss, etc.

I have tried it, it tasted like Haribo.
I was told it was a girls drink by my cockney colleague.

I hate alchopops. I like drunk people, but drunk people with blue tongues are not at all atractive. They should be illegalised. I don't mind children drinking, but I wish they would drink with somthing less vile.

I'll keep a look out for it. Does everyone say 'kronenbourgh blank' then?
My favourite beers are generally eastern European.

Re: kronenbourg blanc
last friday a mate of mine came to visit me here on the island. we went out to some beachtown and ended up somewhere in a 50+ bar.
when we wanted to leave i was already quite pissed since i had about 3,5 liters (dommelsch and hertog jan) in just a few hours. but then the bartender started giving us free drinks that are brewen on the island. we started with some liquor ('juttertje') and after that we got 2 big glasses of 'skuumkoppe', which is a heavy special beer.
on the way back we crashed with our bikes in some ditch and my friend lost a shoe on a roundabout, somehow. the next morning i woke up with a terrible headache and a sore knee.
was a fun night though. Texel has excellent drinks.
Hans why didn't you come to visit me yet?

I thought it was quite nice, especially with a slice of lemon but I can't find it at all in the UK is it sold here at all?

curiously the best place to try is probalby your nearest house of fraser, their wines and spirits departments generally have a fine selection of lagers and real ales

GIven I've had beers that have tasted like strawberries, chocolate and sausages, I'd say that you've only had shitty things such as Fosters, Kronenbourg or Stella. Ales have a much greater variety of flavour.

But even that is not true.

Does all beer taste like (an almost perfect replica of) sausages, then?

Re: kronenbourg blanc
carling is ****ing horrible, there have been occations where i have declined drink rather than drink carling
even within lagers, the difference between carling and something like kronenbourg is telling, and then you have such lagers as ayingerbrau (i know i have spelt that wrong) which is in a different class altogether.
from there you move onto real ales, which can have so many different flavours its unbelievable
