Re: [Football] Prediction League - DS9
why not predict a first scorer, JC?
Do you get extra points if you get a 0-0 with no first scorer?

You get 6 points as opposed to 3 I think.
However, if you predict 0-0 with a scorer and your opponent (just seen this is me!) doesn't predict 0-0, you will win 4-0.
So it's worth doing but you can't get the Kudos of getting a 6 pointer.
1-X will be along in a minute to correct me :xmas:

Yeah i get the full 6 points i think. If i predict a scorer i can only get 4. Hopefully 1-X will back me up on this, and if not i'll put a scorer down.
Edit: Stew beat me to it .

I see you are playing safe and going with a 0-0 at half time just in case . I have the feeling Friedel will turn into a brick wall for this game, otherwise we'll be in trouble.

I'm basing my prediction solely on Everton's latest form, which is typically a 1-0 win (last 9 victories have been by one goal margin) with a goal usually in the 2nd half
I can't see you leeting in more than 2, whilst their defence is great, their attack is not.

posting to back you up on this :xmas:
imo scoring 4 is just as good as scoring 6 so it's wise to name scorer + time too
(personally I'd go 0-0HT, 1-1FT as if it's 0-0, you still score 3 for 'HA' whilst also having the chance to score 3 or 4 for 1-1*)
*not sure if this makes sense outside of my head

I didn't allocate you a fixture for the first time this week (so you didn't keep playing 'blank' and losing)
when you came back I gave you one (maybe I should rephrase that)

Re: [Football] Prediction League - DS9
no, just any points scored at all will get you the win. (I'll update in a minute)
one of the changes after the reset will be that anyone failing to predict no longer has any chance to score (though their "pld" won't increase either) and their opponent will always be up against an external prediction instead

There's a couple of things that I'd like to make:
****ING ROBBEN, WHY DID YOU HAVE TO ****ING SCORE IN THE FIRST HALF?!?!?!?!?!?
Secondly, I'd like this Time/timing thing changed. This is like the third time I missed out on T by a minute or two. I honestly do think 5 mins either way is fairly ideal.

Re: [Football] Prediction League - DS9
still moaning even when you win :xmas:
I'm thinking of dropping T altogether, maybe replacing it with named last scorer
HT could be replaced too, with a simpler home/draw/away rather than the actual score
(basically I think this league has had far too many draws, and matches where no-one has scored, so I'm trying to "shake things up" a little bit. Bringing back A for correct goal difference too as the current A seems to be rarely scored)

That'll make things a lot harder to be honest. I don't think it'll go that well.

Re: [Football] Prediction League - DS9
Koen , i have no idea whats more ridiculous about your entry.
The fact it was made AT HALF TIME DURING THE MATCH
Or the fact you predicted 0-1 , 0-3 , when Charlton were already a goal ahead.

Re: [Football] Prediction League - DS9
Irrelevant now, Apothos got first scorer and winning team, thats at least 2 points giving him the victory.
Dammit Koen, why cant you be this shit in the prediction leagues
