Can you see many people signing up to be a refuse collector?
You'll be surprised how much demeaning jobs can pay.

Re: there is justice in the world after all :D
Teachers used to threaten kids at our school by saying "If you dont do better the only job you'll ever get is sweeping the streets".
The street sweepers are on very good money here with excellent benifits and numerous perks. So it isn't all bad for them.
Heh. Still, I've worked as groundstaff in the university and for a waste management company and I wouldn't take the job picking up litter. It is quite shit. Have done it for short periods of time. Urgh.

They pay quite a bit actually RR - one of my mates did it for a summer job. I think he was on something between £7-9 an hour. Bear in mind they don't work normal hours though, so he won't be earning as much per week as you.

Re: there is justice in the world after all :D
Were they picking this rubbish up as part of their job, or merely in a spirit of being generally slovenly?

I get paid more than anyone from high school that I am currently in contact with
I might work out a per hour mark soon
EDIT: around £15.50 PH

Re: there is justice in the world after all :D
some months ago i read about the adventures of an ex-classmate of mine;
he 'disappeared' for a full year, didn't even tell his parents where he was going to.
then one day he phoned his mum: "hi! i'm at the trainstation now. can you come and pick me up please?"
i laughed, as he always had actions like this in highschool aswell. (like not coming to school for 3 months, wishing me happy newyear somewhere in march, or sitting stoned in class every day and still passing everything. and he carried his books in a plastic bag of the supermarket ).
those were the days

You live in a country firmly attached to other countries, which in turn attach to others, including South Africa, China, India and Russia.
How is that in any way, shape or form an isle?
