Re: Where's Dante?
Its true, we are all currently homeless. Myself and Dante are currently squatting at his cousins/half-brothers house which may be repossessed by the inland revenue at any time.
But we have hopefully got another house on Saturday to move into, so hurrah.

No, it means you were leader of the youth section for a party that last ment something during the early 70's. And that was when alot of their members joined SF (later SV).
You moscow-revisjonist!

Hi guys!
As Olly notes, I am indeed homeless and without internet access. I do ocassionally visit people's houses and use their connections (as now) which may show me as on-line ever so briefly. But you're all in my thoughts and the <3 is reciprocated.

But what does SV/Su have? They're not Sosialistisk Venstreparti (Socialist Left Party) anymore, they're simply SV. I never hear their leader mention socialism, and they go from case to case without any overlying charter at all.
AKP (ml) and RV have some good political points, but a shitty rumour.
A few yars ago the Central Board of RV's Youth League (RU) was 1 vote away from declaring themselves "an armed resistance movement in Norway", or something of that matter.
What are you then? IS maybe? BfS? Or just solo?
|
I didnt mean that you/your local chapter was revisionists really, but the mother party. My grandmother was member of NKP from 1950's til she died in 1997. She wasn't a good communist, she hardly had a clue what communism was. Not to mention that she didnt knew much about marxism (if any), she had crush on the sovietunion (like the rest of the party) and she was rascist.
Not really impressing.
I have contact with both IS and BfS, since I live in Bergen. IS is a waste of time, and a bunch of useless idiots who likes to ruin other people's work. BfS is former NKU/NKP people who is trying to start a new party under "camo". They are certainly better than IS, but they won't make it, atleast thats my guess.
Do you know Tarald Ellingsen btw?
SF became SV. I agree with you, there is nothing soscialistic/revolusionary about the party at all. There is some members in SU who claims to be revolusionaries, but they practise suggest that they are not ready to actually follow that up.
Im member of both AKP (dropped the ml in -91, so your a bit behind here) and RV. I had a brief spell with RU in the 90's.
Your rumour seem pretty far off, I havent even heard about it, and Im usually very informed about RU-stuff.

I know Tarald, and some of his behaviour was the reason I quit the party. The exclusion of Even, Marco and Kim-Runar was symptomatic of something very wrong in the party. And the subsequent dissolution of Bergen NKU didn't really make things better.
I guess you might know those three, aswell as Heine?
|
Yes, I was there. Half the RU'ers there had less clue than a frog, since they had been members for 3months and was 15. The only reason for such a vote is the "lets do something else than pisses off the stupid fu*ks who lead RU" or that they just did it for fun.
For the record, RU has since 1996/97 been controlled by a group who in reality is socialdemocrats.
I know Even, Kim-Runar (my hero, since he emptied a beer on the biggest idiot on the left side of poltics in norway, hehe) and Heine. Even has some talent, thats why its sad that he waste them on trying to build something new. He and the useful people in BsF should join RV, we dont need 1000 small groups who isnt able to archive anything. However, they are questionable since they belonged to NKU/NKP, which was really hopeless politics wise. It wasnt that hard to figure out either.

Funnily enough I have a couple of cousins in the Popular Front For The Liberation of Palestine*
*Which is funny beacuse Judea (and Samaria) is the equivalent of the West Bank, and ironic becuase they are not Jews, but Palestinians.

Why do you commies in Norway always think everything should be party organized?
What about trying to drag into it the Blitz movement, various anarchists, non-party communists, hippies, junkies, prostitutes, unionpeople, the unemployed and so on. As long as we fight seperate fights, everybody only carving for their own agendas, we will live by the scraps the rulers throw down to us
And yes, I mean Natur & Ungdom, my least favorite of all these organizations. Maybe not, but they are high up at least.
And the fact that FRP is going to get even more power after this election should only give you more energy to fight. Do you really fancy President Hagen in a few years? Now that is a scary thought!

Well, how else do you think your going to archive anything? Blitz are a pile of wankers*, who seems to be more focused on having a fight with the police than archiving some goals and working together with others. Have you ever been to a demostration with Blitz? They are a freaking security hazard, and they have no/little disipline (not to speak of any sense of tactics/strategy). The junkies and the prositutes are to busy trying to sort out their own lives (and often doing quite poorly), so what fighting power should one get with them?
Then there is the trade unionsts. Most of them are not able to realise that capitalism wont deliver and that socialdemocrazy is dead (due to the falling rate of profit) for now. On top of that, many of them vote for the conservative party and the populist party (FRP). And on top of that again is that the "Labour"-party** controls the main trade union (LO) from top and down.
I didnt want to stay a member of NU, after they wanted a general rise in the price of electricity without any messures for protecting the weakest from the rise. They have a very middle-class way of thinking envirmental protection.

Blitz. Of course they're a hazard at demonstrations, but most likely, it's they who have handed out most of the leaflets, fixed the followcar/soundsytem, organized support for the people who are arrested and so on. They also are the group who does most of the actions (Mostly legal or non-violent at least), and thus gets things like asylumseekers, poor people, housing, criminal politics and all the other areas of politics that most leftist organisations don't do jack shite about, beacause they think about public opinion before they act. Not to mention the fact that Oslo is nazi-free zone, as is most of Norway. Do you think that's SOS Rasisme or SU's doing? It's not only Blitz who does that, AFA is also involved with individuals that don't consider themselfs part of the Blitz enviroment, but Blitz has always played a major role in the fight against fascism in Norway, with their own health and lifequality at risk. Also, no tactics? How shut down Gøteborg, or Seattle? The reformists, the parties, the hippes? The fact that somebody uses violence, and does not have leaders/comitees does not mean that they disregard tacitcs or discipline.
The problem is that people only see the Blitz people like the girl in the interview. Of course, they are represented there, but many of the most active activits look normal, dress normal, and behave like normal people. I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with the punkers, mind you, but to say that Blitz is just people like that is wrong. Also, the middleclass/richkids who go to places like that either mean something by it, or dissapears quickly. Juding people beacause of who gave birth to them is wrong, althought I'm also very annoyed by the ones that only hang around RU/Blitz/Whatever beacause their parents gets pissed off.
To say that AKP/IS/Theothers are the only rev. left in Norway offends me. There are lots of good people who have sacrificed lots for the cause that are neither organized in parties (communists) or just plainly against any form of parties (anarchists).
The junkies might not be able to defend their own rights, nor the prostitutes, but the unionpeople and the unemployed should be catched up on by the leftwingers.
The biggest problem for the left in Norway, as i see it, is that everybody disses everybody else. Instead of using everybodys strenghts, everybody is like "He's a communist, so he likes Stalin lolz" or "That guy has a brick, that means he's dumb lolz". Cooperation is near void, exept some cases, making actions powerless.
Nu are shit, I agree. When old people die of cold, they want to incerease prices. That's also a problem, the middleclass approach that also SU and to a degree RU/RV uses. That's no way to get the workingclass on "our" side.
More <3, less infighting, and we might even manage to change Norway !

Re: Where's Dante?
Nobody cares if 60 people from Blitz protest against something.
And when Blitz participate in demo with others, their stupid way off doing things makes other people (ordinary working class folks) turn away, becouse they fear Blitz will provoke the police. And Blitz loves to provoke the police, as their always looking for a fight.
The only usefull people in and around Blitz is AFA. They are descently organized and have some disipline.
Blitz with groupies lives mostly in their own little bubble. What they do has very little effect on the lives on the masses.
Working together is all fine and dandy. But have you tried to work together with IS, Blitz or SU for instance? I have tried to work with IS, SU and RU, and its freaking nightmare. IS just doesnt keep what they promise, always looking to promote themself at any cost. SU says "we will do that" and then doesnt to shit, and RU might chicken out becouse some interal disagreements. Blitz is widely known for not keeping agreements they too.
I agree with you that the unionpeople and jobless needs to be radicalized and organised. Then I ask you, who are going to do that?
