Actually the black lines prove he has not increased the speed of the video - and they're not really there either.
They are caused by interference between the capture rate of the camera and the refresh rate of the monitor and are a common problem when taking photographs or movies of CRT equipment. The same effect is responsible for the strange things you see when watching Formula 1/MotoGP/whatever where the wheels appear to speed up, slow down, stand still for a moment, then repeat.

Anyway, it is concrete proof that he has no life and really is moving his fingers that fast.
If he sped the film up post-production the speed of the lines would change. If he slowed the film/capture down while recording (how would he anyway?) the pattern of the lines would change.
The only way to fake it is to record without the lines (can be done by syncing shutter speed to monitor refresh rate) and then fake them afterwards which would be an extraordinary ammount of work for something so trivial.

Actually it's Stepmania a DDR sim. I much prefer Dance With Intensity though. It's a heck of a lot easier to pull off what he did with your fingers than with your feet.

It's looks stupid, but it's actually a bit addictive and fun sometimes to do drunk at parties with mates.
