I'll be objective, and just tell you what I know.
Seraphim was founded about midway through Round 9 as a split off from ViruS. The main reason was because Viper and Ladybug were demoted from their HC positions and many members were angered at this..including myself. So...after Ladybug and Viper left, a sizable amount of members from ViruS and other alliances followed them and created Seraphim.
The HC were me, Viper, Ladybug, neone, and OXX. I have since left them and returned to ViruS. OXX has retired from pa and neone has also stepped down from HC. Afaik, the current HC are Argilus, Ladybug, Whitesnake and Viper. I feel like I'm missing one, but...well, there you go.

I just looked at the top 100 list, I can see 2 Seraphim members there. I suppose they're a decent medium sized alliance, but I've never really spoken to any of them.
Virus only had 2 too, looks like they were both better off when they were just 1.

well, let's see how each alliance does in round 10. Round 9.5 wasnt a serious round for many and ViruS had to recover from the split. Seraphim was new and was still building up during the 'inactive' round.
Should be interesting tho

well, neither.. i'm just trying to choose which alliance to join. Some are big, but i don't know many people there, so it prolly won't be too fun at the start, and then some are medium and i have a lot of friends there ( e.g seraphim) but i'm not sure if they will be able to provide enough defence. So i can't decide!

i said i can't decide what's better, having lots of m8 in your alliance, or being more or less sure that you'll get defence when needed. I just had some bad experience before. when i got wasted and i could not do anything. Don't want that to happen. But i don't know much of the things that seraphim has done so far. Were they good or bad last round?!

It depends on what is the factor for you. To win or to play with mates. If you want to win, then i would reccomend to join bigger alliances, as medium alliances dont stand a chance in r10 (its only my own oppinion ). I was always playing in the alliance where i had most mates (it was always LDK, r9 was an exception), however i knew that weet side was stronger, i joined madcows anyway.

I know nothing about the HC apart from Viper is being as inactive as ever (from former ViruS members of Seraphim).
c0rn seems to be one of the most active officers in Seraphim, he does a reasonable job from what I hear. Nice bloke to have around most of the time.
Seraphim suffered quite a bit from their "top members" hogging all of their defence, and by the time that they had been found out and had moved to LDK etc. the damage haad been done.
They also were subject to ViruS organising and suceeding on taking down 4 HC/ ex-HC Seraphim members towards the end of R9.5. This may not sound like a great victory for ViruS but it does demoralise members and puts a question over the ability to defend (tho it was in the last week of the round so I guess that nobody really cared).
ViruS have had a quiet R9.5, just biding our time for next round. I dont know the exact details of what is going on yet, but no doubt the HC know what they are doing

I'd say they are in direct correlation with each other. Your friends will always want to defend you, or should, at least.
The choice is, do you want an alliance with your friends in (who might not be willing to play as seriously as you), or do you want an alliance that might win. An alliance winning does not mean it will always be able to defend you.

An alliance with all your friends might be more enjoyable, but the alliance might not be a powerhouse as well.
Just know what you want and the choice should be clear.

and for you not able top decide on alliance, dont join a big one. The round wont be funny if there are just a few alliances able to "win"
The best thing would be having several canidates for winning.

basically i joined as a spy, got to the rank of DC, and then they found out or something, either way i was planning to reveal my self.

Aaranaf has no reason to lie, heh, he admitted Piac, but if he says that it wasnt crowded with virus spies, then they must have been from other places...
