Where do I go to manually stop things starting up when I start my computer. I can't seem to find it.

What I did was copying the msconfig.exe from WinME (Win98 would also work) to the system directory of windows2000. Then run it from the RUN box.
It will give a few errors, claiming it couldn't find a few files (nothing bad) but you can enable and disable the startup items like this.

If you don't have a win9x copy where you can grab the msconfig file from, I believe there are a few sites out there that provide it.

You could also mess around in the registry tho....
