Same here, except that I have 5 hours to go...
I sent out all updates/patches of the past few weeks to the customers...
Did a bit of testing...
" When the boss is away, the programmer dances on the table" as my version of a well known Dutch saying goes (als de baas van huis is danst de programmeur op tafel).
Bored borededy borededydumdidum...

Re: Bored
Hurray... new highlight of the day...
boss is at a customer...
computer he bought and has with him is buggered...
must go back to shop where it came from...
boss is pissed (as usual, short fuse etc etc)...
I sooo want to rub it in that he should keep a spare machine around and buy these computers atleast a few weeks before the installation at the customer instead of a few days prior, but I think it might worsen my employee-boss relationship with him even more.
The worst thing of this whole debacle is that he'll probably be back early today. There goes my peacefull and quiet day.

Re: Bored
I`m bored to. Got in this morning, put a few things out, which only took a few minutes. Sit around some more, have lunch. Do something else at about 1:30pm which will only take a few minutes. Sit around `till 4:30pm. Go home. Things are a bit slack at the moment.

Re: Bored
Well, I'm not on my own, but I have nothing to do and virtually no callers to call stupid. I have a sore throat, which is always a plus when you work in a call centre, and to top it all off I have another 7 and a half hours to go.

Re: Bored
Highlight of the day #2...
Customer called to complain about faulty hour calculations from some dodgy/ancient piece of software of ours and he's in trouble because he needs to send his stuff to the accountant...
... TODAY.
I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry because I'm the one who's going to have to fix it. Bugger!!
The lemmings stuff was cool BTW.
