Re: well, i have gone and done it now :D
I imagined RR as a skinny kind of person. My only basis, really for this, was what roadrunner the cartoon looked like. But in my mind, RR looked kind of skinny (and birdlike? maybe?) too.
I'm going to be horrible rude, and say that in my mind his fiancee looked kind of chubby. I have no idea where my mind conjures up this images, I just get them and they stick.
Anyway, it seems I'm wrong. You aren't a skinny beanpole at all (not saying you're fat ), and your fiancee is very pretty too.

roadrunner literally looks nothing like I imagined. Your fiancee is eminently doable though so

You look like youre going grey in that picture... have you aged a lot recently?
But she looks nice. And I'm annoyed if you go for May cause then you'll be married before us. Keep the 22nd of July as free as you can by the way. There may be something or other going on.

I asked Mark yesterday when he was getting married and he replied July 22nd. I thought he was taking the piss as it was very specific Anyway, you should have a joint wedding - it'd be cheaper
Oh, and T&F, I agree, it sucks

Well you can start being specific when the date is set....we've filled in forms and everything.
If it gets to under 6 months away and you still dont have a set date then its not good. Weddings take a lot of organising!

to be quite honest, the organising so far has been a lot more painless than we first thought, but there again, we are doing the whole registry office then party at our houre route, as we are trying to pay for this ourselves and make it just our day

It does depend exactly what you are going for. A while back when Mark and I were considering a quick and quiet thing it could have been done quite fast. We dont appear to have that as an option now though, and Durham Cathedral expects a lot of notice. We only got the day we did cause it happened to be free, mostly they're booked up for ages. It was handy they had a date that fitted most of my criterea.
Sometimes I wonder if I'd prefer something small like that, but I think that would upset my Dad.

Re: well, i have gone and done it now :D
Follow Eva Braun and Hitler's example, and get married in a bunker under heavy shelling in the ruins of Berlin, just a day before you both kill yourselves.
It's this season's 'must-have' wedding experience.
A day to remember and cherish for the rest of your lives.

Re: well, i have gone and done it now :D
They couldn't get married in Durham Cathedral, as that would mean the unwashed multitude could also get married there in future, so now they've moved the venue to Mark's front room, which is slightly less glamorous, but it does have the compensating virtue that you don't have to travel through two and a half miles of cloisters when you need a piss.

I plan on being married in St Peter's Basilica by His Holiness Pope Peter II, with the Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster as Maid of Honour, the Archbishops of Southwark, Birmingham and Liverpool as bridesmaids, the remainder of the College of Cardinals as flower girls and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse as ushers. Oh, and you're all invited. (But you'll have to make your own travel arrangements.)
