I object to the attempt to entice people to list their musical preferences for a time and occassion that lends itself to absolute carefree spontaneity and variety, and thus listing people's 'favourite' tunes for said time of the week is nonsensical, since their chosen music for such a time will vary hugely based on whims and caprice week to week; there can be no 'favourite' tunes for a Friday night.

When people dance, they look like morons. To any type of music. Save perhaps ballroom, which is an actual dance form instead of mass idiocy. Only comedy dances are acceptable.

Clubs are far better places to socialise; you have more freedom to move about and interact with people.

I don't think I could ever sit down in a pub next to people I didn't know and start a random conversation with someone (unless it was about politics and I had overheard them talking about it already), yet I'd feel comfortable speaking to strangers in a club (mainly for the reasons MM gives).

well, the music is obviously good or bad depending on where you go.

its dark, yeah, but i dont see why that is exactly a bad thing, or a good thing, its pretty much personal opinion.

the drink is overpriced yes, but thats why you get pissed before you go. And i know you dont want me to say this, but if you do drugs instead of drink it can be a lot cheaper
