Manchester, Tomorrow

I'm going shopping in Manchester tomorrow.

Any places I should go specifically?

Recommendations for a good pub to have lunch in would be appreciated too.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Manchester, Tomorrow

you have to go to the northern quarter if you want to go to the shops.

its kind of hard to describe where it is though... go to piccadilly square then past a big amusement arcade on the right. theres a lovely "alternative shopping centre" called afflecks palace as well you should go to. Its brill, theres also a great 2nd hand CD shop called vinyl exchange, thats great too.

as far as food goes... theres loads of cheap pub like food places, but most of them arent near the centre.

Re: Manchester, Tomorrow

It's like an alternative market spread over four floors of goodness. And the sweetie machine has strawberry millions in it. They tasted old and were like pebbles, but still nice.

The Triangle was rather cool as well, Free Spirit is a rocking shop.

Then we went for coffee in Starbucks and got the train back to Wigan.

Then we went to the Tudor in Wigan on night-time and got trashed, and then walked 4mile back to her house (in Standish).

Weekend = mighty success
