A plea to hc & members of all alliances
When you notice your target has been double, tripple ,quadruple booked, have the common decency to pull if if your one of the last.
Its just plain stupid to have 9-10 waves on people when they have 20-400 roids.
And no, im not talking bout myself, i pull myself if i see my targets has that many waves.

Re: A plea to hc & members of all alliances
Indeed, although perhaps the best reason to recall from that booking is so you can go and attack some of the other attackers, after all you know that some of their fleet are out, and if you attack many of them you'll be straining some poor old DC somewhere .

Can there not be something coded into the game to stop a target being hit by any more than 4/5 waves at a time?

That's a brilliant idea. Maybe we could also code into the game that an alliance could only be hit with so many fleets at a time, and same for galaxies?

Limiting it in code would be wrong.
Nothing wrong with large attacks, its a part of the game.
What is wrong, is 8 waving tiny planets

Re: A plea to hc & members of all alliances
Another case in which we see that the average PA player is rather stupid. What's the point of landing a 10th wave, capping maybe 25 roids, when you can hit elsewhere, and potentially cap 100 roids?

What the game could do would be increasing the reward a war between alliances would deliver. That way we would get less galaxy raiding but more alliance's fighting each other. Which ultimately would be good fun.

When you launch you don't know that, and when you know it you're eta4 or less... you want at least a few roids to pay for the trip...

Re: A plea to hc & members of all alliances
When you're wave 5 or higher, you will be able to know that before you even launch, so your argument is a non-issue.

Re: A plea to hc & members of all alliances
Unfortunately because of the way most alliances work this isn't usually true. Targets are chosen between 18:00 - 22:00 and scans are released and by midnight targets are chosen, prelaunches initiated and bed fallen into. By the time they wake up they are eta 4 or lower and won't be able to recall and attack again so they land for 20 roids or whatever since, at the end of the day, 20 > 0.
The real problem is that alliance BC's have little imagination and they all choose the same "fat" targets from Sandman's which leads to the unintentional waving that occurs so often in this small universe of ours.

I feel this is a rather lame claim. Most BC's look around a lot, unfortunally the universe is so small that some doublebookings etc is unavoidable.

when you launch in wave 5 you don't know if the 4 waves before you will get def or not, your point is not valid.

I guess you just have to improve the communication between your people then, as such his point is still valid.

As I said, this is mostly because alliances do not war each other anymore but completely resort to galaxy raids. If the game would give more incentive for specific targetting of alliances, those multi bookings would happen far less.

I respectfully disagree.

This is true. All the more reason for alliances to use alternative selection criteria though.

Most targets is chosen from a target list.
I dont think you will get into an alliance target list without being hostile in any way.

That would be true if it wasn't for most target lists these days consisting out of roidfat gals/planets rather than truly hostile elements.

for some reason our bc's are only 2 waving gals this rd , although a cpl of larger planets did get an extra wave open on them

Re: A plea to hc & members of all alliances
Why are you complaining about double or triple bookings this early in the round? It's the most normal thing at the start, when all alliances are just roid racing.
If it keeps happening when wars start, then you may have a point.

Forgive me, but I cannot remember anything that could be declared as a war between alliances for the last 2-3 rounds or so?

Re: A plea to hc & members of all alliances
Well, the closest people get to war now i suppose is having flak alliances do support attacks on galaxies.
Before they were used for a purpose, now they are lapdogs
Like ToF is for CT

Re: A plea to hc & members of all alliances
I like ToF and if they have napped CT then best of luck to them. As long as they are sure to use the relative bargaining power this gives them they could earn a proper rank for the first time. I wish more alliances had some political ambition; we might actually see a proper fight for the first time in while.

Alliances don't attack alliances cause they might loose ships and scores.
Ranking on pa page is waaay to important to risk that :O

Re: A plea to hc & members of all alliances
Some alliances DO have ambitions... but just keep them hidden until the time is ripe muhahahaha... eh... right.
Even full galaxy raids get defense often enough. 3 waving is a logical approach to trying to spread defense thin and get most attacks through. But I agree more waves is a bit excessive. Its sad that some alliances resort to 5 waving just because some galaxies manage to defend against most of the incs of a 3 wave.

Re: A plea to hc & members of all alliances
No, that's just common sense. What's the point in sending 3 waves at a galaxy, draining all their defence, and then not exploiting that? That's just as stupid as sending 200k fleetscore on a 10th wave to cap 20 roids off a planet.
