I can't tie one to save my life.
Oh well, guess i'm gonna have to settle for the old classic 'school boy' knot

this might be helpful

but much easier to do would be the half windsor

Windsor knots are too bulky in my opinion and really only work with wide collared striped shirts. Plain or different patterned shirts usually look better with the half windsor.

WOW, i'm impressed with your neckwear knowledge.
Im going to wear a double cuffed plain purple-ish shirt.

Why don't you have your mother make you a knot? And everytime you need that tie bugger thingy you just slide it over your head and tighten the knot.

Hell, I bought my tie in the shop with the knot already in it. You can't get it any easier.

When i want a knot tied properly, i usually bring the tie into work and get my mate to tie it nicely.
When i take them off i just usually loosen them slightly and slip them over my head.
But i didn't have a tie to match this shirt, so i had to buy one this morning, and no one is about to help dress me today

TIE UPDATE: After several attempts, I have sucessfully pulled off the half windsor, and will look the Bobby Dazzler* at the races tonight!

I can make both half and full windsor knots and a couple more... the only think is that I hate using ties....
