Increase Resources and Fleet activity

G'day All,

I believe this game needs more resources.. And a more dynamic approach to resources.

To solve this, i propose that asteroids are classed in 2 types for each type of resource..

When asteroids get initiated, you get a 25-30% chance you discover an 'en-riched' deposit.. This asteroid would produce 50% more resources than a normal asteroid. You could take this further and have different categories of enrichment. Normal 100% / Enriched(150%) and Highly Enriched(200%). If you wanted to you could add the lower types too.. like low deposit asteroid.. supplying only 75% of a normal asteroid yeld per tick.

The resources you get are the same, the only difference would be the amount of that resource produced. This would develop a more interesting aspect to the game, in regards to luck of the draw when you initiate roids..

Also, ofc, you can always steal them from someone else =]


The other idea i had.. this one needs no explanation..

If we increase resources in the universe.. Increase the Fleet Slots.

Give us 6 slots.. cheers

more resources, more fleets, more activity, more randomness in the game.. leave a slight element to gamble and chance..

One thing i forgot to mention that meant to go with the 6 fleet slots.. was mil scans.. after discussions, the restrictions with mil scans would be that it wouldnt display fleet names.. just ships in fleets and quantity and type etc..

If we had more resources and the ability to buy more ships, alliances could be running 3 raids per day.. would bring a better roid exchange in the universe.. and with more landings.

Lets face it.. no one wants to play a round where they're hording value all round, landing attacks maybe once every few days.. etc.. everyone looks forward to checking their attack.. and if thats increase by a few times a day, it will make the game alot more enjoyable to play.. 3 slots is just not enough..

resources in the game.. is just not enough.. The randomness to getting resources, is too stiff, outdated, and boring.. it needs to be mixed up, altered and changed to give a randomness effect to it..

Put it this way, at the moment when you go initiate roids.. you know what your getting.. you know how much you got to spend to get what you want.. its boring.. and honestly.. its just process and it sucks big time.. every time you go there, you look at your resources and think.. yep spending more resources on this crap because i just lost a heap of roids..
Change it around abit.. have opportunity to have different categories of asteroids..

Depleted Metal
Normal Metal
Enriched Metal
Highly Enriched Metal

Each one has say a 30% chance to drop.,. Now when you go initiate roids, its like playing the pokies at the casino.. You never know what your gonna get.. everyone's resources are going to be different.. everyone has a chance to win the jackpot, everyone has a chance to steal someone elses jackpot.. it brings a greater element to the game play.. no longer are you scanning through galaxies to see how many roids they have.. your scanning to see the quality of roids they have..
How will it improve the game play?
A shitload more than it is now mate.

this wouldn't change the amount of raids per day. it would increase the size of fleets used in attack and defense earlier. which would mean more value hoarding because they'd have more value to protect earlier.

More fleet slots disproprtionally benefits Xan, because they can fake much, much easier.

delete xan then.. and distribute their technology amongst all the other races.. each race having their own class ship with cloak technology..

make up some story about how the xan race died off.. who cares..

Ok, lets assume it goes as you say. Alliances can, and will now launch 2-3 raids per day.

Be serious, who will actually bother to play if you can get incommings all day, leaving you to maybe spend the entire day getting defence?

It is already time consuming if you care, and get incs as it is, but atleast there is a somewhat limited timeframe you have to spend a lot of time DCing and such.

no dramas Motti,

lets change the game dynamics so you can only be attacked once per day and it happens at the same time every day so you know when to get defence..

Motti, it is a game bro.. if you stop worrying about defence and focusing on attacks.. generally the attacks will out weigh the loss..
