Fonts in a Page
Is it possible to have a page displaying a text in a font which is not installed in the computer ?

I think this site is an example of it,

www.athas.org

Being this part the one using such font, just below the banner:

"Home · Releases · Articles · Fiction · Downloads · Links

"Ah. Hello there. Grak! Be a good boy and ..... etc... "

and such as other titles in there.

If its possible, can someone explain how it could be done?

Nope, you cant do it. You obviously have the font theyre using (Papyrus) on your computer. To improvise, you can either ask them to download a font (bad), use an image instead (not quite as bad), or specify a list of fonts using font-family, and list them in order of preference. That way itll display the obscure font if they have it, or switch to a default one of your choosing if they dont. (good).

the site in question, btw, does not seem to use dynamic fonts. it uses font Papyrus which either comes standard on windowz or gets installed with MS Office.

*shrug* i didn't invent this. i'm just answering the guy's question. Personally, i frown at websites that so much as dare open links in a new window; let alone try to download fonts.
