Teacher Tom
So I finally passed my course.
I actually passed 2 weeks ago, but I had an external examiner visit me to make sure that Exeter are doing things "by the book" (for the government), so I have only just found out if this pass is all ok and legit.
I'm happy.
So now I'm a teacher.
My job is in Purley (South London / Surrey), teaching ICT and Business Studies to an all-boys school of 11-18. Will be starting in September.
I'm chuffed and sharing my good news with you
I hope life is spiffing with all of you too ;D

Congrats. You are now a under-paid unappreciated babysitter.
But at least you'll have shitloads of holidays, so

Oh well done. Sometimes I forget that not all schools are as shitty as mine was.

Didn't some teacher tell you that you'd never pass the course and that you were a worthless sack of shit and make you break down in tears and stuff?
I bet she feels silly now!

Well done Tomkat.
I was hoping to go the same way as yourself, becoming a teacher.
Now it seems I have to move in order to take the course.

Re: Teacher Tom
Have you gone back to that teacher who said "Youll never Pass , teaching isnt the career for you" and told him to choke on your 9 1/2 inches of manmeat?
I thoroughly endorse this course of action.

Yeah like London schools are good and fun after watching Dispatch on Channel 4.
I admit it. Even my school was that bad.

Re: Teacher Tom
my school was actually pretty free from any huge amounts of disorder and teacher abuse.
However, it was FAR too full of stuck up kids who thought they were the best person in the world ever.

That's a bit like hearing about what Kiera Knightley was like when she went to Teddington school. (My ex knew her)

Re: Teacher Tom
heh, she is fit though, so she can be excused.
there were far too many (admittedly quite clever) people who thought they were god's gift to the world because they could get 13 A*s at GCSEs
im not sure if it would have been worse to be at a rough comphrehensive, guess i'll never know
