Re: Payment
We did have a look at it about a month ago, to determine whether it would be worth it or not.
From the research I did iirc there were 2 options:
1) Pay an extortionate setup fee, but get 80% of the revenue
or
2) Pay a smaller setup fee, but only get about 30% of the revenue.
To put option 2 into context, if an account can be said to cost £3.33 we'd need to setup a system that would send £10 worth of text messages in order to raise the required amount. When the option is £10 by credit card for Three accounts, or £10 by text message, which would give the revenue equivalent to 1/3rd (ie. 1 account) therefore meaning you'd get 1 account for £10, it seemed rather unlikely for anyone to actually use it.
Similar things go for phone payments -- unless you're absolutley guaranteed to have enough people paying through it to make it worthwhile, there is no benefit as it ends up costing money rather than raising it.
With both systems it seems that you also have to provide your own system hooked up to a phone line to deal with the incoming messages or calls, and deal with the inputs (in our case PA User-IDs) which obviously bumps up the cost quite a lot.
