SpaceShipOne lands safely after reaching Space.
Private Corporation set to launch spacecraft

Spaceshipone utilizing White Knight rockets is set to make history this monday. With their eyes on the X Prize the crew of Spaceshipone will travel into orbit 62.5 miles above the Earth, land safely and do it again within 2 weeks. If successful they will be the first commericial company to travel to space and back.

The project which is being funded by a Microsoft Executive may then turn into a company. Some of the suggestions have been cheap private space travel to a small space station in orbit. Another has been the first mass producer of orbital warships capable of incinerating cities from the safety of space. Several small countries have expressed optimisim with the latter and have begun stockpiling billions.

As the first company in space they will be free to begin commericializing what may be a trillion dollar a year business in the coming decades.

I'd like to point out that name is repressing my african brothers and sisters and as such I'd like to create a petition supporting the grounding of aforementioned vehicle until a more unoppressive name can be found and approved by a sub-committee dedicated to the eradication of racism in outer space.

Strictly speaking SpaceShipOne won't be going into orbit, because it won't reach escape velocity. All it will do is fly up at Mach 3, and then fall down again, just like the first two Mercury flights.
