what exactly are hispanics?
are they just spanish speaking white* people? or are they the native indians that lived their before the manuels arrived? 'cause i was just thinking that in europe jennifer 'big arse' lopez, ricky 'closet homo' martin and friends would be considered white europeans. So what exactly are hispanics?

Descendents of Spanish speaking people. Can be white Hispanics or mestizo's (mix of Indian and Spanish). It depends what categories you're using.

It could even include the descendents of black Latin Americans, although I suspect they're generally just called Latino's (or ******s).

Mexicans. From Mexico. They don't like to be called hispanics anymore though. I think they call them selves "Latinos" now. **** knows.

It's an American term to refer to people from Latin America, not just Mexico.
I don't think Americans would refer to people from Spain as Hispanic though, they'd just be Spanish.
