Right im using it right now and after it crashed (ho ho ho ) when i tried to put in my password for the forums i rebooted and it seems to be ok.

Can someone please explain what all the fuss is about?

It really doesnt seem THAT wonderful compared to ie?

I prefer opera.

However, in general, the non-ie browsers display CSS/HTML correctly, load faster, have other nifty features and so on.

Firefox is so nifty because it's w3c compliant. The rest of the noise is over the fact that it's mozilla project, which every MS hater has a special place in their hearts for.

Truth is, no one but developers really gives a shit about it. :P

In addition it's more customizeable than IE, faster, has a popup blocker, tabbed browsing, allows for extensions to add all kinds of functionality, and isn't as big a security leak as our Microsoft friend.

It's W3C compliance is more interesting from a web designer's point of view.

oddly enough ive switched back to IE

do you know the main reason (apart from the fact its interface still seems a tad dodgy - i guess its only beta tho) is that when i type c:\ i want to be taken to the hdd. when i type 'my computer' i want to see my computer.


not a web style directory listing....

unless of course im missing an obvious thing here and its fully capable of working like ie does?
