Angels is a top ally with potental for #1, some ppl want to join them with that in mind. When Angels dont get to #1, some of their recruits go inactive/ship jumping. In effect they might have picked up a few Glory hunters.

The type of people you dont want in your ally.

That may be the case but it's not like they were losing ground particularly quickly. They were most definately in with a shout of the top spot.

Most interesting thing now is, what they plan to do with the rest of thier round? Are they now planning to aid someone else get to the top spot? I wonder.........

Imo Angels has a too small core memberbase to get #1.
Maybe 30 people or something, even in this round where the alliance limit was supposed to be 50 (it lasted for almost a week or 2 :s) they still have to find roughly 20-30 mercenaries to fight for Angels, who are not that loyal to Angels and have their own personal agenda.

Angels would/will be beter off without those people and it would be wise to try and gradualy increase their core memberbase and being a serious contender for #1 this round or next rounds without having to take in a bg or some other band of mercenaries who will leave them/go inactive when their personal goals can't be met in angels.

I wouldnt really worry about Angels core. Angels core consist of enough dedicated and loyals players. The fact that the vast majority of them decided to not play this round put Angels in a corner where they had to make this decision:
1) Will we play round16 as an alliance?
2) Will we pull an Exilition and come back in round 17?

Angels decided to go for option 1 and surely realised that some of the player who enrolled for Angels (and we arent talking about only fresh and new recruitment but also old Angels core players) arent up to the standard this round. Angels had to cut into the flesh, even in its own flesh. Its just a matter of rebuilding, instead of dragging itself into the mud. Next round will be a totally different round.

Angels have surely lost the possibility to end #1 but they aint lost the long term capabilities to perform as an elite alliance with its own identity and its own core.

Of course, i am not playing this round and these arent the view of Angels, but mostly my own personal view. These are just speculations.

The only thing 1up is proving again this round is that they are the next best alliance in contemporary planetarion, but we already knew that now didn't we?
It doesn't matter how an alliance obtains victory (within the set rules of the games ofc), as long as they end on top they are the best alliance around. Being the best alliance is a diverse thing, you don't necessarily have to have the best players to win (though that is often the case). It demands: politics, command, luck etc, and until 1ups name end above eXilitions they can give their comparisons a rest.

Sorry for derailing the topic at hand. It wasn't meant to be one when I posted my first reply; That was more a "stop being cocky Sid, since you have no reason to be".

Can you not all just get over it. eX have won 2 rounds of PA, 1up have won 3 (i think, am i right ? but more than 2 anyway) In my opinion that makes them 1 round ahead of eX. And saying oww but eX didnt play is nonsense. If they want to claim to be the best alliance win more rounds than 1up eod.

Now back on topic. The kicking of inactive members is always a good thing. You get rid of your defence drains and can concentrate more on the coremember base. Have they lost their chance at the top spot this round. Probebly but its not for sure. They have a solid core and have shown them selves to be skilled players. Only time will tell.

They even made there own guild called would you know it eXilition.
Its what they do in there rounds of i reckon.

Some eXilition plays WoW, and that is a little more laidback than hardcore planetarion. It's also not the entire alliance, and very few of the command team. Many of the people in the guild aren't from eXilition at all, to the best of my knowledge. You're making it look like eXilition all took a round off, and went hardcore at another game. This is not so.

Liked the look of subh 2 rounds ago they where ( yes I saw ur private channel back then ) very selective of there members, just hope they havent taken on the exilition crew that are always floating about while there main crew away.
