Is this really a good idea?
At a time wherre the UK has essentially run out of prision places Crimestoppers have launched a Spanish phoneline to find British criminals living in the Costa Del Sol.

I have no real problem with this idea in principle, but isn't this the worse possible time to go after these people when there is nowhere to put them?

I don't think that the police should stop doing their job just because there's no where to put them. Aren't they buying up boats to put them on now ?

It's debatable how many criminals this will catch in real terms anyway (perhaps a few high profile cases, but compared to the 80k or so people we've currently got in prison, I'm not sure it'll matter).

I have no problem with it as long as the advertising goes something like: "Are you holidaying next to a convict? If so ring: 08457 50 50 50" or "Shop a ex-pat and we'll pay for your holiday!"
