for me alpha centaury is the best ever
civ2 gold MP edition closely behind
call to power 1 is absolutely ****E

What a coincidink - just installed Play The World and started up a game a few hours ago :eek:


It does have a slower pace than just about every other game I've played, hasn't stopped me from playing it til 3 in the morn without noticing tho.

Civ2 is still a bit better, yes. Havn't played Civ3 that much though.

And I actually think they have made winning through warfare a bit harder :eek:

civ3 is no disappointment, but it's not a redefining game. whilst it's better than any others, it's nothing new. still addictive etc

Essentially, it's just Civ 2 tarted up a bit. There really isn't anything hugely revolutionary in it. Some people probably find comfort in that, others will be quite pissed-off.

no way, civ 3 is a very good game, it's addictive, you can use all sorts of strategies and every game is different. it's the best of it's genre
