Kurashima - Power Mad Dictator?
I think everyone knows where this description comes from, and im not about to provide the link due to advertising , but after 2 months , i have this to report.
The Dictatorship of Kurashima is a enormous, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its complete absence of social welfare. Its compassionate, hard-working, cynical population of 268 million are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."
The large, corrupt, moralistic government juggles the competing demands of the Environment, Law & Order, and Defence. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 14%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Automobile Manufacturing.
Scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes, employers may fire workers without giving any reason, nudity is frowned upon, and the alarmingly racist TV show 'Bigtopians Say the Darndest Things' is a hit. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Kurashima's national animal is the Aardvark, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Shima.

My philosophy for my nation is very simple.
"If you give people freedoms , they will do stupid things with them"
Hence , no social or political freedoms in my country , thank you very much.

The Empire of Fluffsanity is a enormous, economically powerful nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 405 million are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."
The medium-sized, corrupt, moralistic government devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 9%, but much higher for the wealthy. A healthy private sector is dominated by the Automobile Manufacturing industry.
Guns are banned, military spending is on the increase, bicyclists are banned from major roads, and scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Fluffsanity's national animal is the fluffsane puppy, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the fluffsaner.

The Free Republic of Mordavia is a enormous, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 376 million are either ruled by a small, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.
The tiny, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Education, Law & Order, and Social Welfare. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 8%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Gambling industry.
A large-scale revitalization of the education system is underway, bicyclists are banned from major roads, corporations donate huge sums of money to favored politicians, and the government is avowedly atheist. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Mordavia's national animal is the wolf, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the florin.

There's no "point" to it.

The Federation of Ventrue is a very large, safe nation, renowned for its burgeoning owl population. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 98 million enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.
The medium-sized government is mainly concerned with Education, although Commerce and Social Welfare are on the agenda. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 8%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Gambling industry, followed by Automobile Manufacturing and Book Publishing.
The government's religious works are headed by a New Age guru, young children are regularly seen wagering pocket money at blackjack tables, the government awards prizes to television shows featuring stereotype-breaking minority roles, and genetic researchers have been expelled. Crime is well under control. Ventrue's national animal is the owl and its currency is the dollar.

The Principality of Melisma
"A nation is its people's favour."
UN Category: Democratic Socialists
Civil Rights: Average
Economy: Developing
Political Freedoms: Average
The Principality of Melisma is a enormous, safe nation, renowned for its punitive income tax rates. Its compassionate population of 507 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Defence, although Law & Order and Education are on the agenda. The average income tax rate is 60%, and even higher for the wealthy. A healthy private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing industry, followed by Book Publishing and Pizza Delivery.
Punitive tariffs protect local industry, a large-scale revitalization of the education system is underway, it is illegal to make racist remarks in public, and same-sex marriages are increasingly common. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Melisma's national animal is the Fear and its currency is the Snarine.

The People's Republic of Crack House is a tiny, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its absence of drug laws. Its hard-nosed, intelligent population of 5 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
The large government juggles the competing demands of Healthcare, Social Welfare, and Education. The average income tax rate is 26%, but much higher for the wealthy. A substantial private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Beef-Based Agriculture and Uranium Mining.
Crime is moderate, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Crack House's national animal is the hedgehog, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the dollar.

The People's Republic of Shildonia
"Peace Through Tyranny"
UN Category: Corporate Police State
Civil Rights: Few
Economy: Frightening
Political Freedoms: Outlawed
Location: Shildon
The People's Republic of Shildonia is a enormous, economically powerful nation, remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 308 million are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.
The small, corrupt, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Education. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Gambling industry, followed by Automobile Manufacturing and Uranium Mining.
Nudity is frowned upon, citizens are barcoded to keep track of their movements, the government is avowedly atheist, and young children are regularly seen wagering pocket money at blackjack tables. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Shildonia's national animal is the Neep Child, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Shildonian Pound.
It's actually quite interesting if you go on the forums. I've now been in 3wars, 2peace conferences and an airshow.

The Republic of Lok
"Obedience or Misery"
UN Category: Compulsory Consumerist State
Civil Rights: Average Economy: Thriving Political Freedoms: Few
The Republic of Lok is a very large, economically powerful nation, notable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 107 million are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.
The small, pro-business government concentrates mainly on Law & Order, although Defence and Education are on the agenda. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 3%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining, Gambling, and Book Publishing industries.
Nudity is frowned upon, scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes, organ donation is compulsory, and the government is cutting back on the number of political prisoners executed each year. Crime is a serious problem. Lok's national animal is the Yak, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Lok.

The Rogue Nation of Malawai is a small, devout nation, notable for its strong anti-business politics. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 14 million are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.
The large, corrupt government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Religion & Spirituality, and Commerce. The average income tax rate is 18%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Gambling.
Citizens can be frequently spotted going about their business stark naked, the latest Harry Potter book is a bestseller, the alarmingly racist TV show 'Bigtopians Say the Darndest Things' is a hit, and the mining industry is making inroads into environmentally sensitive areas. Crime is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Malawai's national animal is the 3 eyed sloth toed llama, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the groat.

I only started when this thread appeared but...
The Free Republic of Moralintzia is a small, devout nation, notable for its absence of drug laws. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 10 million enjoy extensive civil freedoms, particularly in social issues, while business tends to be more regulated.
The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked morass -- is mainly concerned with Social Welfare, although Religion & Spirituality and Education are secondary priorities. The average income tax rate is 35%. A large private sector is dominated by the Gambling industry.
Young children are regularly seen wagering pocket money at blackjack tables, cars are banned, same-sex marriages are increasingly common, and the government's religious works are headed by a New Age guru. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low. Moralintzia's national animal is the dragon, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the dollar.

The Rogue Nation of The Cruel Pirates
"Forced democracy is no democracy"
UN Category: Corporate Bordello
Civil Rights: Excellent
Economy: Frightening
Political Freedoms: Excellent
The Rogue Nation of The Cruel Pirates is a enormous, devout nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 324 million are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.
The enormous government juggles the competing demands of Commerce, Defence, and Education. The average income tax rate is 21%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Gambling industry.
Young children are regularly seen wagering pocket money at blackjack tables, corporations donate huge sums of money to favored politicians, all recreational drugs are legal, and the alarmingly racist TV show 'Bigtopians Say the Darndest Things' is a hit. Crime is well under control, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The Cruel Pirates's national animal is the parrot, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the guilder.

PA Forums : Psychotic Dictatorship
The Dominion of PA Forums
"Be nice,or be Banned!"
UN Category: Psychotic Dictatorship
Civil Rights: Rare
Economy: Developing
Political Freedoms: Outlawed
Location: the Pacific
The Dominion of PA Forums is a tiny, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its absence of drug laws. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 5 million are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."
The enormous, corrupt, moralistic, socially-minded government devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 35%, but much higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Trout Farming.
Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. PA Forums's national animal is the spammer, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the post.
(Sorry, it just had to be done!)

The Free Land of Topless Girls
"If you have a **** or a booty, you don't need anymore."
UN Category: Left-wing Utopia
Civil Rights: Superb Economy: Reasonable Political Freedoms: World Benchmark
Location: the Pacific
The Free Land of Topless Girls is a tiny, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its absence of drug laws. Its hard-nosed, intelligent population of 5 million are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whoever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.
The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, corrupt, liberal morass -- juggles the competing demands of Healthcare, Social Welfare, and Education. The average income tax rate is 37%, but much higher for the wealthy. A very small private sector is dominated by the Trout Farming industry.
Crime is moderate, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Topless Girls's national animal is the ****, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the booty.

Could someone please send me the link?
On a side note does anyone else remember when Spinner came onto GD to say that he didn't mind threads about other games since hey he's a gamer too, but that he just didn't want posts about a certain game (that i can't even mention since it's censored ) because it ripped off PA? I was just wondering if I dreamt that.
