Most people start off with white (as the cheap whites taste better then cheap reds)
Remember

only people who haven't developed their taste yet.

I agree.
I don't like wine (except champagne.. that's quite nice)... beer is a far better option...
But If I'm offered a choice of red or white, it's red I'll go for.

A nice crisp white is nice.
Rosemont do a very nice chardonnay for 8 quid and a cheaper 'varient' for 6-7 depending where you buy it from.
i can drink reds but i dont like the cheaper stuff :/

Yes, but I fail to see what my preference in wine has to do with it.

Veuve Cliquot or Bollinger is my 'personal' alcholic preference.
either that or Dom.
However due to being a student on a rather 'tight' budget i cannot afford to simply buy bottles of this stuff every night for consumption. :-(((((

White wine any day of the week. Red wine is a bit 'heavy' or 'filling' for my taste. In addition, I'd have to say that I'd rather have something else than wine, as it's not too high on my "yay" list.
Also, there is nothing wrong with Lambrusco. Had it once, tasted quite nice actually.
