Havoc-The zik paradise

This round i dint plat havoc actively, but in past rounds i did. I wish to make havoc a fair for all playing ground.
How> To stop zik;s from farming inactives. Make a little option under prefferences: "yes, i wish to play havoc, or No, i dont want to play havoc"
This would get you a little bit more balanced havoc.

Re: Havoc-The zik paradise

this won't change anything really. Havoc is simply the domain of ziks, they can still farm the ppl who spend their resources on ships when they are offline, there is nothing you can do to stop that. As havoc is all about value, only ziks can win that run really (unless ofc, steal ships would die when they steal other ships).

And on another note: who cares, havoc isn't an achievement anyway. I know there are ppl who take it extremely serious (hi ToF ;P), but havoc isn't about balance, its about throwing 'huge' fleets at eachother which you couldn't do in the normal round (and getting 'revenge').

Re: Havoc-The zik paradise

This week has been more fun for me than the whole round. Not to mention the hilarious mails of people calling me basher and other not so pretty names

Re: Havoc-The zik paradise

@wandows, ofcourse its fun, but a little bit of toning down the zik during havoc should make it more fun.

Ah well its time to trow my fleet into a planet

Re: Havoc-The zik paradise

Some people are taking havoc way too seriously.

i used to think to the same (simplistic) way, though because its "just" havoc it should be completely unbalanced? by a minor modivication it shoul be more fun for every else (other then zik.) And just because im sugjesting this doesnt mean i actually care about havoc, i do well i normall rounds.

Yes, this is exactly what I said...?

You do realize that I never commented on your idea, I merely pointed out that some people are taking havoc way too seriously, a reference to things in general, not just your post. Regardless your idea isnt so bad per se, but it wont change the balance of havoc.

This minor modification wouldnt change much of anything. Its not like terrans, xans and caths dont steal tons of roids from inactive players in havoc. You wouldnt just be slowing zik growth you would be slowing everyones growth, hardly a solution to the balance issue.

A zik can only steal fleets from non-players for a short period of time before his/her value forces the bash limit up. For most of havoc ziks are hitting players who are playing havoc, not the players who never login again after the round.

The main reason for zik havoc dominance is fast ticks. Its very easy to catch people with their fleets home.
