Credit Cards
How do I know which one suits me best?

I can't be arsed to sign up to Capital One because it's piss easy to sign up to (anyone can get it nowadays). I want something with "rethpeck!" (respect for those that can't get it)

Ideally one with low interest rates would be good.

Egg were doing a fairly decent introductory rate a while ago, I'm not sure if they still are.

In terms of personal experience I've found Halifax Visa more generous than Barclaycard in terms of credit limit extending and so forth.

In general I'd avoid the whole business.

A friend of mine got a new credit card from Halifax about a month ago and its interest free for a year. Good place to start imo.

If you get a credit card just make sure that there's no release fee if you want to transfer to another one, that way you just keep switching onto a low-interest one.
You can also do this mortgages + loans

i'd say egg - they give you money back if you buy things online and have a low interest rate.

I think Tesco were doing a half decent card recently too...

German credit cards are ridiculous.

(1) almost no shops accept them
(2) you have to pay for them
(3) you have to pay off the whole thing every month

Also another thing I'd like is No Annual Fee. I know Barclaycard offer that but their credit limit is poor.

my egg card doesn't have an annual fee that i'm aware of.

in my experience, most high street bank issued cards are terrible.
