Idis question to you all
I've been ****ing overdosing on the X-Files recently, which has made me think deeply about beliefs, asumptions, inherent truths and taking things for granted. Scully and her unwavering(ish) faith in God, yet being unable to believe in the extra-terestrial, and Molder with the exact opposite beliefs.
I personally don't believe in God or the Creation, not just due to the lack of evidence, but mainly due to my belief in the existance of nothing, that there is no meaning to anything or reason. I do hold certain 'spiritual' beliefs concerning the electromagnetic field that surrounds the planet and exists in all living life forms however.
As for aliens, I'd love it if alien's do exist, but there is not any solid proof yet (that I am aware of) that claims they do or don't exist. I do believe they exist though as I find it to be far too arrogant to assume that we are alone in this Universe, and no other planet can carry life out there. I think that fossilised bacteria has been discovered on Mars, but all that necessarily means is there may be dead aliens, I'm after the live ones!
So..
[ ] I believe in God
[ ] I believe in extra terrestrial biological entities
[ ] I believe in idimmu
If a mod could turn this in to a proper, intelligent, poll I'd be chuffed but hey, there is a reason we can't post polls and thats to make sure the Internet doesn't collapse on itself and implode

Is it me or do those percentages not add up. I'm seeing 220% worth of votes.

Re: Idis question to you all
do you believe in a god that satisfies
do you believe in a god that opens eyes
do you believe in a god that tells you lies
or do you believe in me?
do you believe in a god that wears a crown
do you believe in a god that makes you bow
do you believe in a god that brings you down
or do you believe in me?

Re: Idis question to you all
I have never seen either god or aliens and I've never met anyone who has convinced me of the existence of either of them. I can feel the gravitational influence of idimmu from where I'm sitting though so I damn sure believe in him.

Jostein Gaarder is definitivly male, and that book is embarrasingly factually incorrect.. It's a nice enough read though.
