[Help] Do i stay or do i go?
alright, i'm not looking for advice as in 'do this' or 'do that'... i'm merely looking for some points or suggestions that perhaps i'm just not seeing that some of you might. (if that makes sense) anyway. i've come to a fork in the road of my life. i've now got a choice of two paths to take and i really really don't know what to do. all i know is that i can't stay where i am now, or i'll never get ahead. so..

Path 1: Stay in Calgary and move in with Julie (my boss at one job, and she's become a good friend of mine). this will help me save money as rent will be cheaper, she'd be a lot of fun like my last roommate, and i like Calgary. I'd still need my two jobs even though one of them is so annoying to the point i want to quit but can't. (the one julie's my boss :\)

Path 2: Move home to BC. I'd move in with my parents for a short period then get an apartment with my sister. this would save me money as rent would be way cheaper, it could be fun living with my sister since now we're all grown up and have jobs. though i'd have to get new jobs if i moved.

I've made pro/con lists for both choices and there's equal amount of pros and equal amount of cons for each of them. it's really doing my head in
anyway any words of wisdom?

that's kinda the direction i've been heading.
but i think it's so hard to decide cause the stubborn part of me likes my independance here away from family. also i feel like going home will be admitting i've failed at making something of myself :\

Nonesense. Going home is merely going home. Sounds like you have a family who cares for you, more success than many people have. Is it impossible to make something of yourself in BC? You are you where ever you are and equally wonderful.

If you chose not to go home, that is also fine but do it for a real reason.

independence is having the ability (in mental and financial terms) to do things, and not so much the actual doing of those things if you don't want. in short, it is a bout choice. Just moving back with your family will not take away that independence, it is a choice you make to improve your life.

i would say only stay if you can see the situation improving (ie, job getting a lot better or getting a new job) although i will also say that moving in with your boss is never a good idea

well Aryn, I suppose that if the pros and cons are equal on both side, just pick one and go with it. It's always nice being close to family...especially at birthdays and x-mas

Other than that, it's always nice to be home. I've never been to Calgary or BC, so I can't really make a recomendation for you (as I've heard that both are quite lovely), but I have heard that there is more money in BC...

I had this elaborate idea that I was going to come on here and write some Dr. Phil style advice, but my brain just went for a shit, so I apologise for the shitness of this reply
