If you're using adblock switch to adblock plus. The original isn't being updated anymore. Some themes aren't updated. All the good extentions should have updates. ;|

Adblock isn't even one of them, only about 2 of the 7 or so plugins I had seem to have been updated - I guess the rest will follow at some point. Not much to say so far, looks fairly similar to 1.0.7, although it does seem the page rendering speed has been improved, which is pretty good

As for the obligatory Opera comment - I'm currently waiting to see how the Opera 9 version is going to turn out, especially as some of the changes in the preview version changelog seem quite promising, although a few of them are more from a web designing than a user point of view.

wtf do you use an internetbrowser for then, apart from visiting some internetsites on daily basis?

'extra tools', 'more plugins', 'v.1.07', 'promising new features' etc, it all sounds quite bizarre to me.

The increase in rendering speed alone helps "just visiting sites", and unless you just visit one page which has no gifs, no ads, no hyperlinks of any kind in it, then you'll be using other capabilities of the browsers, which perform in differing ways. So the statement is meaningless, even without taking into account other efficiency benefits. QED.

isn't tabbed browsing already possible (firefox)?

jakiri: it wasn't much more than a poor effort to ridicule the neverending chitchat over minor improvements on internetbrowsers. that's all really.

Mind giving a link to that plugin so I can stop being extra extremely carefull about links in IRC/MSN?

Currently I have to make sure that'll open in an unused Firefox window/tab or it'll muck my browsing up...

you dont even need the plugin.
Tools -> options -> Tabs
select "open links from applications in a new window" , or "a new tab" depending on which you prefer rather then the current tab

Anyone who has gone back to trying to use notepad for most tasks after using a more advanced text editor will know what I mean.

Notepad is great. At least for making REALLY small files, or for making a bunch of files you intend to have open at the same time on a machine with only 32mb ram (try that with M$ office 97 and it lags, try that with 2000 and you're gonna be reaching for the reset button)
