You don't use heavy cargo transfer technology?

Do you get resources at a reduced rate? Are you maxed out at a certain level? Do too many roids start and have a negative impact upon your resource production?

I would say.. RTFM. but I asume they havent been able to explain anything in the FM.. so I'm as clueless as you are

I have read the manual hence the questions - the manual is about as useful as a dog turd on yoru shoe

[EDIT] Doesn't even to seem to have a consistent bleed pattern which there should be ofcourse.

You wont get any resources for the roids you cant mine..
I also belive that you get a small penalty for having more roids than you can mine..

as i say it doesn't seem to be as evenly applied as that.

I know I am getting a drain of around 13000 resources a tick on my 450 roids......

I've only been once above my max, early in round (EET seems to have a alert that as soon as I come near the max they pass by), and I DID get a penalty. No idea how much though.....

its weird. I have mining set as my number 1 priority amd I should in old pa terms be making in excess of 60k each resource. However due to power bledd I only make 35k.

Now surely a fairer method would be to power bleed each roid on a progressive basis. The more heavy cargo's you get the less power bleed on your roids.

Each level could add 5% production to your mining as your mining technology gets stronger, thus never allowing a negative, but always limiting the roid proction capability.

To bleed negatively imo is a bit silly as PA is a war game based on growth.

Well, the idea as I understand it is to force the big players to keep on doing heavy cargo, to hand an advantage to the smaller people, so penalties of some kind make sense to me.

you could limit growth more effectively and force them to mine more effectively if you make it percentage based. Also you can add at the end a per few k roid development plan, but to limit the total growth isnt fair as it limits smaller players considerably.

Your right there do need to be some sort of penalty system, but they should think about a 2 tiered approach in reality.

Say you have 500 roids and can mine 400 you get 400/500 (80%) of your income. IE you mine 400 roids and get 400 roids income. Where it is a bit skewed is you only get 80% of your bonuses too (not 100% sure on mines) so effectively going over the amount you can mine means you have less income than if you kept it bang on. This effects all bonuses from FCs and engineers.

I think this is a great idea despite being behind on tech I really want because I need to keep my HCT going up.

I have 1800 roids and only 300 is mined effectively, but I have Mining as 1st pri in Engineering, so I get the income of 300 roids + 15% of 1800 roids as bonus. (Equals 570 roids income per tick)

It's bad enough reading this sort of cr*p on PD never mind on Strategy.

Take it to AD where it "belongs".
