there has been stuff like that before, it generally turns out to be giant squid, althouth, interestingly, they have yet to make a good theory as to what can tear the tentacles off a giant squid to make it look like that :/

Only known predator of giant squid are sperm whales. Perhaps the tentacles were eaten...
