Galaxy Fund Parser
The galaxy fund log is quickly going to become a massive list of meaningless rubbish, so I've knocked up this parser. Expect more features coming soon, but it currently shows the total each member has donated.
TODO:
* Order by res/totals
* breakdown of donations for each player
* profitability markers - see who drains the cash!
* parsing trades and indicating problems/problem players
Suggestions?

Re: Galaxy Fund Parser
Funny that I took the same page and changed a few names, iirc
I think that the pages are now working properly, but they could do with a few tweaks I guess :-)
The more difficult thing to sort out is the alliance action log, which is a bit confusing sometimes
I do admit that I was only really thinking it'd be nice to be able to log everything and finally get rid of that annoying news item that people have been complaining about for the last few rounds - I guess in the future we should be able to sort by row heading to make it easier to view ingame too

Re: Galaxy Fund Parser
Nope
"Alliance fund added. 8 tick delay on recieving resources, 1 donation/planet/8 ticks, a maximum of int((1 +($tick -72)/13) * 100000) may be donated and the planet can't be over the average alliance score or value after recieving the donation. "
From the R17 section of the changelog :-)

Re: Galaxy Fund Parser
There's a bug in the parser. Or rather in the fund log.
Actually, if the MoD donates resources to someone, it shows the person that was MoD at that moment and made the donations as Ruler name, instead of the one that actually received that donation. So now, the parser shows all resources received under the name of the MoD.
Fix it appoco please

Re: Galaxy Fund Parser
Xelnaga is right, I hadnt realised this.
As for the alliance fund parser - It hadn't occured to me there was a log for this!!! I'll get access to my alliance' log and test that subsequent versions of the parser work for both.

Re: Galaxy Fund Parser
I was also thinking maybe alternate layouts would be possible, especially one that the dat could be copied and pasted on the galaxy/alliance forums as the current one doesnt transfer at all well

Re: Galaxy Fund Parser
I'll look into it, but I'm not sure how is best to copy for forums.
Most strip out tabs and extra whitespace don't they?
Let me know a format you'd like and I'll make it available.

Re: Galaxy Fund Parser
Yeah the forums strip out the tabs which is what causes the problem when posting them. Maybe something like
Quote:
Name
Donated
Received
Name2
Donated
Received
|
which would copy much better and alignment wouldnt be such an issue

Re: Galaxy Fund Parser
The parser shows traded in and donated out. Could it also show traded out?
I.E. if there is a Resources in M/C/E with corresponding Resources out the same tick it could show Traded out (as opposed to just Donated and Recieved).
It already knows the difference between a trade and a donation, so I suspect this isn't too difficult.

Re: Galaxy Fund Parser
Yeah, I'm gonna split the donations in and out up, and then add another table additionally for trades.

Re: Galaxy Fund Parser
I donated resources to a planet in the gal - but it looks like I have donated funds to myself. I suspect that this may cause a bit of tension if peeps think the MOD is donating to herself. I do realize that the gal fund log itself shows donations going out in this way - so it isnt a bug with the parser, but the gal fund log.
But it IS a great tool and saves me from eye strain trying to work out the donators from the traders good work

Re: Galaxy Fund Parser
I'll detail these problems on the parser - but at the end of the day, I can only display the data input. Problems with these very new logs should be address to appocco, who will in turn help the parser.

I can't see what you mean?
There is a column for MoD which only lists the current MoD, this is not the planet donated to. If you see a Resources Out with no corresponding Resources In this is a donation by the MoD (as opposed to a trade). The planet donated to is in the Ruler Name field.
